I used to work in a photo developing lab, and it always amused me to see how many people took pictures of fireworks. The pictures would just look like spots on a black background. Put down the camera and tilt your head back and bask in the glory of the sparkling light show! Spots on film are not going to mean a damn thing to you years later when you're looking through your photo collection.

I visited the Louvre a year or two ago and it struck me as absolute insanity how many people didn't actually look at the artwork, they just walked down the halls video-taping it or taking blurry snapshots. It was the only place that you would be able to stand and take in a piece of art in person, to see it with your own eyes, to study it, to sit with it, to be in the experience. You can find 100's of professional photos of each of these pieces of art online, but how many times are you going to get to walk around it, to lean close and study brush-strokes or chisel marks up close? To see how light moves across the surface? How many times will you be able to give your full undivided attention to Adam singing up close in person? I soooooooooo agree with you on this. People these days has no clue how to "associate" with art. I really think that this is the part of problem they had with Adam and his art. He is not some "art fast food" - you need get to know him, his inspirations, his background and last but not least his voice to really appreciate and admire him.

As seoulmate, evergreen and wingsofbutterflies have mentioned there are a few more guys who post but of the 30 or so of us registered on Atop less than 1/3 of us are actively involved in the forum.

Some drive by thoughts: Every morning this is what I do in order of priority: 1) Request from my local radio station that has added BTIKM to it's playlist (I alternate methods). Every other weekday I request from the other HAC and Top 40 stations in my area. 2) Run down the voting and requesting links in the OP each day -- Doing the national US/Canada one's first, and then the international ones. All those US/Canada links are fine for people to request from out of area as far as I know. The international ones aren't limiting voters to locals it appears. At least fans have been doing it for about three months with no push back. I'm sure if there was any push-back it would be reported on twitter or here quickly and we would remove the link. This is a different thing than making radio requests from outside of a listening area of a station that isn't national or nationally streamed. That's where you have to watch out, as well as spamming or annoying a station. A polite once a day request to a local station that has played the song before is no problem at all -- in fact, it's the most useful thing you can do. I know it's stated many times but it really can't be stated enough, requesting locally is by far the most effective way to support Adam. Second are the national and international voting and requesting links in the OP. Things like the March madness tournament are fun, but have no tangible benefit for Adam that I can see. __________________ On the camera thing, I really feel for Adam here. In my mind there is a clear difference between having a few ninjas in a crowd and having every person in the crowd be stuck behind the lens of a camera. Fandom is so connected that it's easy beforehand for someone to say 'I'll be taking video' or to pass on that the venue is recording and therefore for some others to let it go and just "be there" for Adam. I visited the Louvre a year or two ago and it struck me as absolute insanity how many people didn't actually look at the artwork, they just walked down the halls video-taping it or taking blurry snapshots. I get what Adam is saying and went through a bit of the photo crazy stuff myself. I loved taking photos and sold quite a few of them. On a vacation, when I was shooting in india , Thailand,Nepal and HongKong.I thought ,I have waited for many years to be here and I'm not enjoying this amazing experience. I realized that I was viewing the world through the lens of my camera . I spent so much money time and effort and didn't really enjoy my travels, because I never got the gestalt of the places I was visiting. It was like a" six blind men and an elephant" kind of thing. I no longer even take a camera with me when I travel. I guess Adam would like people to really see him and experience him in the now , He's a performer who wants that energy(infinity) thing going back and forth. That can't happen when he's looking into cameras/Iphones rather than people's eyes.
