Guys, could it be that Trespassing is , idk, too sassy or 'in your face' for the second single? ... this is from yesterdays thread. I just want to add my 2 cents to this and if I have not overlooked it sovehow, I have not seen someone expressing my view. for me Trespassing is rebellious and, yes, also sassy and in your face and this so much Adam, it is also part of his image, he is a rebel, even if a nice one. IMO it would be a great second single. It is so funky, you have to dance to it and I'm sure the studio version will sound more current as Pharrell produced it. It will so different to everything else on radio and for me different is good and exactly what Adam needs. Really good pop music is different and is polarizing and pushes boundaries. Pop music is for me not only about the music, it is also about to get people to talk about the artist. Look at all this big Popstars, Adams icons: Madonna, Michael Jackson, David Bowie. And Adam wants to be a Popstar like them and therefor he should be able allowed (by his label) to polarize and push boundaries. Yes, some people won't like it. But there will be also others, who will love it, for the same reason btw. It is just a matter of taste and there will never be a song everyone will love. Cuckoo would be good choices for the second single, too. For me, NCOE has not enough of Adams personality to be the second single, and IMO a different production can not change it that much. I don't know about Naked Love, as we have only 30 seconds of it, for me it sounded too much Katy Perryish, but we have not heard the chorus yet and I love the song title. |
