This is exactly why I am not agonizing over this. All 4 songs are good, in my opinion. And Adam's going to do more than survive. He is on track. He is flourishing. He is ALREADY more successful than he ever thought he'd be. It's a GREAT time for Adam and his world is only growing bigger!!! ME EITHER, ALOHA! ;D The back and forth doesn't annoy me in the least though, because I just look at it as well--we got that shit out of the way BEFORE the single was chosen! Afterwards, we can just c/p whatever damned "intuitions" we've already gone on and on about, myself included. OR NOT, lol. Que sera, sera FFS. Lol que sera, sera indeed. On other fan sites and twitter you will find fans with exactly the opposite intuitions about the singles and completely different results from the 'market' research of random people that they know. There are fans very invested in radio who think Cuckoo would be the worst thing ever and NCOE is golden. I just gotta shrug at all of it. Personally, and I like to read in many different fandom places, I don't see the point of reinforcing each other's negative personal opinions about the potential radio performance of any of the four single choices before it comes out. Whatever single is chosen will be the boat we are all riding in together, for the next few months, so spending the whole time pointing out what someone sees as the cracks in the siding and the oncoming rapids doesn't really appeal to me. But hey, free speech, whatever 'floats your boat', etc. |

LADYBETH, are you looking for links/youtubes/or just the names of songs to look up? What kind of singer is your friend? There are so many from pre-AI, AI/AI Tour, FYE, GN Tour--clear up to today's new NCOE! Brigadoon, Heaven on Their Minds, Mad World, Feelin' Good, A Change is Gonna Come, Can't Let You Go, Soaked, Aftermath, new snippets! Wow. I wouldn't know where to start...but I'll bet if you emailed her the link to Cassie's Masterclass thread, she'd find all these examples and more--plus, lots of good "voice discussion"! ETA: 4MS post is a great start! ETA 2: OMG, it is a GREAT START!!
