OTT: Steven Tyler,"You've become who you are." to DeAndre on Idol. He never met an action verb he liked, nor does he make sense. I loved Janie's Got a Gun and wore out two Big Ones CD's, but, but...I will now slink back to the Idol thread, or just turn the channel.

Can anyone suggest a few videos of Adam to send to a friend who is a great singer. Need to demonstrate Adam's incredible voice with good quality sound. Thanks I love this video of "Sleepwalker" in Moscow! Especially the part at the end (4.00 - end) is incredible!  I also think that the acoustic-version of "Sleepwalker" at the "Bravo" in Munich is fantastic! |

Thanks Oh, Ladybeth, you may be in for an all nighter! But I can think of worse ways to spend a night than listening to the "best of" Adam... Of course it depends on the tastes of your friend, but the Adam/Queen medley is pretty great... Another favorite of mine, which shows extraordinary skill in less than two minutes is "My Conviction" from Hair. Also, many of the studio recordings from AI are very good, too. They are easy to find on YouTube - studio recording Adam Lambert - and they will appear... Have fun! ETA: This link was in the comments at My Conviction - lots of early stuff in this playlist. Why do so many of you think NCOE will do so much better than BTIKM. I love BTIKM as much as I do NCOE and it didn't do well. Is it because NCOE is more uptempo? Is that the only reason? Or is it also because you like the song more? The reason I ask this is because I am having trouble being positive about NCOE for some reason but not sure why. I think it's because I enjoy listening to TP and Cuckoo more so than NCOE. I can easily picture a great performance with TP, especially, if he were to do it like he did in the UK performance where he was dancing to it. I can only picture NCOE being sung sitting down like with BTIKM and I am so ready for dancing Adam on idol and elsewhere on stage. Just my two cents for what they're worth. ;D Radio fans can't see Adam perform -- it's gotta be an ear thing. I give up and give in about song choice. Personally, I've only listened to the snippets once and just a few of the acoustic versions. I'm waiting for the CD in all it's glory. The internet is a wonderment but we really don't know how these songs are produced and as good as they already sound recorded on cell phones, etc. I can hardly wait to hear the "real thing". My only issue with TP is the southern drawly cajuny sound Adam uses -- must be left over from his time with Drake. No offense intended to folks from our Southern States, it's just not Adam and IMO it's not particularly pop or funk either. Really. I live in the New Orleans area and I don't get the southern drawl cajuny sound from Adam on TP. Also, I think it is very funk but maybe not so much pop. I'm trying not to worry about this whole thing with the 2nd single but it's hard when I really thought BTIKM would do better. It's scary. ??? |

I've wanted to play it for my dh -- I don't think he'll know it's Adam unless he remembers me trying to explain it to him -- he may have glazed over. ALTHOUGH, the other day he did say to me that his all time favorite concert ever was the GNT we saw in Louisville. I nearly fainted. He spent the whole evening running out to the bar for me so I figured he was just trying to find something to do to make the time pass. That evening he did come to understand how much more there was to Adam. I also know he has never seen me scream and dance and act insane for anyone else before -- only CSNY and Bruce in ancient times. |
