Translation: The first twelve notes (dots) are about as high as most pop guys can sing, and that might be sounding a bit strained. It is also about as long a musical phrase as they could sustain on one breath.
The fifteenth note (Eb5) would have most female alto singers straining to hit. Or most untrained females singers, period. Guys would have fallen out before that.
The sixteenth and seventeenth notes that are above all the horizontal lines ---- stratosphere for females, unheard of in full voice for males (except Adam Fuckin' Lambert)
The white note at the beginning of the second line represents a note held longer. That's where really good singers would have run out of breath and had to stop the riff. Not Adam Lambert. He keeps going.
As impressive as this run looks on paper and sounds live, it is less than half of Adam's total range from low note to high note.
Does that help at all?
No? Okay, condensed version: A highly trained female opera singer would be proud to perform that phrase in one breath.
I'm a trained singer--soprano (high voice--I'm a coloratura for those who know such weird things, hah), and this would be a challenge for me to sing. Actually, when I first saw this transcription, I sang through it...geez! This is why I so admire Adam's voice because this is AMAZING. And he just tossed this out...uffda is all I can say.
We took a bunch of VIP pics that night as well. Here's one of KRZ's Jeff Walker and Amanda with Adam Lambert.
To all Adam Lambert fans: don't worry, we'll have the concert pics online by tonight! Here's something to hold you over: KRZ's Jeff Walker, Amanda, and Adam Lambert.
Ok. I'm chatting w my friend who is laughing her head off because I was listening to the music and I had my arms crossed. So Adam pointed me out cause I think he thought I wasn't groovin. So he stands in front of me bends over and hold his arms out for a hug. I was so focuse on Brian/issac and tommy. So I guess he must of thought I wasn't tuned in. I don't know but the next thing I know everyone is poking me and I look at Adam w his a rms stected out and he says a hug. So I hug him. Now my friend is laughing her head off and saying 'lucky bitch' Lol
Nowcshr wants to smell my clothes to see if it smells like Adam. We are punch drunk w silliness. She wants to know what she was groovin and dancin her buns off and he scorned her!!! oops. I meant to say she was dancing her buns off and he scorned her!!!
OMG! So much fun! Adam was incredible, I cannot begin to articulate what a great showman, vocal master and musician he is. The show was INCREDIBLE..... I was there with DH who was blown away and had not been a fan before. I also meet so many adamtopians, so much fun and love (special shout out to you and your "crew" Jazzrocks). His tour will be spectacular! We all have to be there!!!!!! And let's get his GD single on the radio, he so deserves this.

I suck at tweeting during shows, so here are my random thoughts on last nights Wilkes-Barre show:
I rode up with my coworker who brought a young girl with her and her daughter. The girl is a huge fan and had NO IDEA where she was going. Her reaction when she found out was priceless!!!
I caught up to @kayakmermaid in the lobby. Hi Gurl!
Someone had a Cougars For Adam sign. That is all.
The opening acts were Neon Hitch, Kevin Rudolf, and The Cab. Poor Mans Nicki Minaj, Rolled off a Paint Truck and Cute And Funny respectively. The Cab had jokes and four stans there cheering them on.
Once Adam came out the whole crowd stood up!!!!! It was AWESOME!!! He talked about the Album being number one ad thanked us for our insanity. He was funny and relaxed this show. Hugged an audience member, made jokes and danced his ass off in his unique lulzy way. After Broken English he said "NGGGG I can feel this one in my body" LOL! I can't even describe the sound he made! He was incredible! Anywho, I gotta head to New England! Check in later!
Trina @trina134 I believe I can see the future Cause I repeat the same routine. I think I used to have a purpose But then again That might have been a dream. · tcmusings.tumblr.com/
You could tell Adam was having a GREAT time on stage & loving every minute! I hope that comes through in the vids <3
All of the band was great too they all came back signed & posed for pics. Only one I don't remember seeing was Brian I might have missed him
All the band was great too they all came back signed

Tommy is so beautiful in person we just kept staring!
Meeting Tommy was such a bonus! He was so fucking sweet & real! He signed stuff & took pics with everyone that wanted it!
So much grinding, humping and even crotch grabbing.... we were DYING!
@marwinlambert had a meet & greet but then we went out back and waited for him to come out. He sighed stuff for every single person waiting!
Oh and there was some Adommy action too when Tommy leaned into Adam I fucking died *flail*
@marwinlambert amazing doesn't even do it justice <333
Adam fucking killed it last night, one of his best showd yet! So fucking proud that we got to be there for it!
Still can't believe we met Adam like twice... and Tommy too! They were both more beautiful in person than you can even imagine <333

LOVED spending time with you & Mr taumbu! It really WAS an incredible show! The very best I've ever seen him. EVAH! He was all over the stage and his moves were HOT! No lutzy dancing. None. He was in total control, the exchange of energy was off the charts and the crowd was on it's feet the entire show. I was blown away and am still in a daze to tell the truth.
My seats were better than I anticipated but I still managed to work my way up to the stage. How could I not? Something irresistible was calling me. I managed to stay there for 4 songs before the stage police started chasing us.
What a fabulous night. Huge thanks to Mayumi and her crew for the perfect arrangements at Rodanos. Such a fun time meeting all the Atopers! And finally got to meet Q3.
My son & DIL had a blast and felt part of the group. And they were blown away by the concert. They are legit fans now.
Adam has come so far even from GNT. He is perfection on that stage.
If you only want to read the Adam part and not my whole story, just read the section between the ---------ADAM---------- lines.
I was quite lucky to be able to go to Wilkes-Barre, because we had a 4 day weekend planned and when that concert date came through my husband had to listen to his wife whining how Adam does so many concerts in my neck of the woods, but somehow I always manage to be out of town for them and I have missed many. I was in WB two years ago, but missed all the rest. So, nice and understanding husband as I have got, we ended up shortening our trip to three days and I was able to go to WB and so now I owe him big time - lol. We are leaving for long weekend, this morning, so I am posting this and will then read all the rest, when I return.
I got away late, arrived at Rodano’s only around six and found a crowd of 40 folks with mostly empty plates chatting away and having a great time. I decided to join the socializing, there were no seats anyway and the waitress was busy/frantic/ tad too overwhelmed to remember my drink anyhow or she served it somebody else, I don’t know. I decided then, that I would bag one or two opening acts, rather meet folks now, eat a quick bite after everyone had left, take a moment to absorb all the impressions I got from so many folks who I have known since over 2 years from the internet, but never me in person. I got to meet Q3 and Jazzrocks and Taumbu, Jesslala, Feetalive, barbaraindallas, TerriJo, the wonderful Mayumi who had splendidly organized the place for us, bamafan, needacoke, mangocat and Hoopla. Met all within one hour and I hope I am not forgetting anyone right now…it was a delight meeting you all, what a wonderful group of people to be privileged to know.
After my ‘quiet’ (Rodano’s is lots of things, but quiet is not one of them) quick dinner and one walk around the square, (WB is a great small down, the beauty of its central square was slightly diminished by some car show that happened there (yup, Adam was not the only hot rod in town that night), but it’s still an old style American town that has a lively and friendly downtown district, with shops (even an old fashioned music store) and places to hang and all the good stuff you would like a downtown to have, but usually cannot find in America. Anyhow, I finally made my way to the Kirby Center, where I listened to the third opening act, which was in fact really good. Very enjoyable indeed.
Anyhow, the place exploded in screams and celebration when Adam came on stage and pretty much did not stop celebrating for the next 45 minutes. This was home, Adam seems to enjoy WB, it is his third time back, the crowd was I’d say 80 % Glamberts from out of town and 20 % locals who stood out because they were dressed in normal summer wear and also because they were not familiar with every song or every little part of Adam’s act like the rest of us. But everyone had a great time.
Adam looked gorgeous, almost surreal, he has a glow about him that is just out of this world, there is no other way to put it. A star, a bright shining star. He wore a white and dark striped shirt, which is a look I have always loved on him, blue jacket and pants matching the dark stripes, wolf hair, just a great look for him and he was otherwise not heavily accessorized, just his gloves and black nail polish and black earrings that’s all. He looked stunning!
He sang pretty much the same songs from the radio shows, plus chokehold thrown in, so all the faster paced ones, after all this was a radio show.
Trespassing KI Shady WWFM Chokehold Naked Love Broken English NCOE Cuckoo
Not sure whether I got the sequence right, but I think this is a complete list. I hope I did not miss something here – lol.
The band felt tight and looked great, the back-up singers sang in tune and sounded great. Ashley even smiled a few times, there was a bit of playful Tommy interaction and Adam handed over to Brian and he got to cheer on the crowd once. Adam is just so good at acknowledging everyone’s contribution and pulling everyone in.
The only observation I want to make is that where I stood, which was 7 rows away from one of the speakers, the electronic wall of sound was overwhelming the instrumentalists, in my area it even sometimes drowned out Adam, but obviously I can see from the videos that this was more my location than the overall impression. Yet, I was not right next to the speaker, so there was a whole area that must have felt that way.
Obviously, that would be a problem of the venue and not Adam, but I think, if that “wall of sound” could be broken up a bit with a bit more dynamic (louder or more subdued, rather than louder all the time) and also if the instrumentalists could receive pockets where they are allowed to shine, it would add to the variety and overall value of the show, independent of location. In my area the electronic sound-bed was so overwhelming that I could hardly hear Tommy’s guitar solo and I certainly could not hear, when during cuckoo he was introduced and got a moment to play his instrument. The base and the keys were not that distinguished either and usually got lost. Drums and backup singers did come through though, loud and clear, so the mix was not optimal. So, this is an area to work on still, but obviously, the concert as it sounded from other locations needs to be looked rather than my specific situation, when evaluating that balance, but I do think there is a need for more dynamic variation.
Finally, I really think that Adam saw this concert as his BB#1 celebration with his Glamily, the on stage and off stage one. He got such a great reception, I had tears in my eyes in happiness for him. And the crowd certainly gave him all they got. I heard from somebody outside that the show sold out after all, which is great news, I was not able to resell my extra ticket, perhaps did not try hard enough prior to the concert, but it certainly looked like a full house to me.
What a wonderful night! Adam loves to perform these songs, and yesterday was a party to be had and that is what Adam threw. A big old party for his fans. His wailing was off the charts, his voice impeccable, his sound beautiful.
A banquet of riches! I am so grateful to be allowed to be part of it.
I left right after the concert and drove home, so did not stay for autographs or such, but others surely can report from that.
Cheers and with that I now will start heading to the beach and will read about everything others had to say when I come back. Happy Memorial Day weekend everyone. Stay safe!

Friday night, the glitterati and denizens of Adam fandom gathered for a concert in a small city in Northeast PA. They came from California and Washington, Florida, Maine and Japan – and seemingly every place in-between. Plus there were also some fans from NE PA. I am so pleased that I decided to return to Wilkes Barre to see this show.

Lambert ‘trespasses’ at Kirby Review ‘American Idol’ alumni performs tunes from his No. 1 second studio release. BRAD PATTON, For The Times Leader 1:36 am

Adam Lambert performs Friday night at the F.M. Kirby Center in Wilkes-Barre.
Just one day after his new album became the No. 1 record in the country, Adam Lambert was in town to headline the “98.5 KRZ Summer Smash” at the F.M. Kirby Center for the Performing Arts on Friday.
“Trespassing,” Lambert’s second studio release, debuted atop the Billboard 200 yesterday and made a little history by replacing the latest offering by Carrie Underwood at No.1. It was the first time an album by an “American Idol” alum took over the top spot from another AI alum.
Lambert took the stage of the Kirby Center – the same theater in which he launched his first ever solo tour two years ago – at 9:35 following an introduction by one of KRZ’s disc jockeys that included the words “tall,” “talented,” and “tasty.”
To a deafening roar from the near-capacity crowd, Lambert sported a look slightly reminiscent of Elvis in “Jailhouse Rock” as he wore a black suit over a black and white striped shirt. “You guys, we’re number one, and it’s all because of you,” he said following his opening number, the title track of his latest album. “Thank you so much for your passion, your support and your insanity.”
Later he thanked his musical director for taking what he called a “crazy electronic studio album” and making it come alive on the stage.
Although the album hit the shelves less than two weeks ago, it seemed nearly everyone in the audience was very familiar with the material, singing along to every song and waving their “Glam sticks” in unison.
An early highlight was a stripped down version of “Whataya Want From Me” from Lambert’s first album, 2009’s “For Your Entertainment,” as was the new song “Broken English.” Following another new number “Naked Love,” which Lambert stressed for the family-friendly audience is about freeing yourself not taking your clothes off, he scored big with his latest single “Never Close Your Eyes” as he headed down the home stretch of his 45-minute performance.
...
The official attendance figure was not available at press time, but it looked to be a fairly large crowd with a few scattered empty seats. But what it may have lacked in size, it more than made up for in excitement and noise, as it stood, sang and shrieked from the moment Lambert took the stage.

I finally got around to figuring out how to upload vidoes to YouTube. In honor of the 1 month aniversity of Adam's concert at Six Flags on May 26, 2012 I've uploaded this set to:
These videos were taken with my new Q3HD video camera which has 2 external microphones. This gives much better sound quality, i.e., no distortions, than the usual video cameras. However, the sound level is lower so you will need to turn the sound up, or even better, wear headphone. I think it automatically turns the recording level down to avoid some of the distortions from loud booming sounds.
One 965 TIC staff member, One camera and thousands of excited fans at the All-Star Spring Fling make for one great video!
Check out the concert recap, through the perspective of the fans and concert-goers at Six Flags New England, as we talk to fans and check out live performances by Adam Lambert, Javier Colon and Jermaine Paul.
Watch the full video now and relive the AMAZING All-Star Spring Fling!!
Just got home from Six Flags. Lots of pages to read, pictures to see, and videos to watch.
I couldn't tweet from concert area...glad others could. It was way out in the back of the park...well away from the rides. Finding the picnic grove was a challenge for some of us...more about that later.
Loved the picture of the crowd that was behind us crazy close-to-the-stage fans. I guess it filled up between shows.
Adam was so happy, fun, joyful and crazy with that outfit "costume?"
Having to stop now, but in summing it up Adam live is REMARKABLE.
Just got back from Six Flags!! What an amazing night. There was so much love for him in the crowd!! He noticed it and kept mentioning how he could feel the love, saw beautiful faces and people dancing. Despite problems with sound, he seemed to be genuinely happy tonight!!
I loved all his dance moves tonight - seemed like there were lots of new shimmies/steps/shakes that were new and I loved his playful interaction with the band.
The crowd was diversification personified!! Lots of everyone, especially young girls and I noticed at least 5 very fine looking young guys around me. And EVERYONE WAS INTO IT!!! Felt like a big-ole-party!
I got a ticket in the preferred area and so snapped some photos. I really don't know what I am doing here with uploading ...so I will do my best! I want to share with all of you who have been so amazing sharing photos on Adamtopia!!
AGAWAM – The new 20-story tall roller coaster at Six Flags New England was not the only Goliath at the amusement park on Saturday. A 6-foot, 1-inch tall pop star with the biggest album in the country proved to be a big Memorial Day weekend attraction.
Adam Lambert’s appearance at Six Flags was in support of his sophomore studio album, “Trespassing,” which debuted this week in the No.1 spot on the charts.
The 30-year-old one-time “American Idol” runner-up performed an energetic, hour-long set. He kicked things off with the title track from the new album before launching into another strong new dance tune, “Kickin’ In.”
Lambert’s brief, 10-song set was heavy on material from his new album, which seemed to thrill the 3,000 fans dancing in the River’s Edge Picnic Grove. He was backed by a dynamic six-piece band, led by keyboardist Brian London.
The enthusiastic crowd reacted strongest to “Naked Love” and the single “Never Close Our Eyes.”
Throughout his set, Lambert was charming and engaging with the audience, some of whom had waited hours for a prime spot to see the show, which was sponsored by Hartford radio station WTIC-FM, 96.5. Six Flags New England, May 26, 2012
Lambert reached back to his 2009 debut album “For Your Entertainment” only twice with a subdued, soulful “Whataya Want from Me” and the radio-friendly “If I Had You.”
He closed the evening with the playful “Cuckoo,” which he dedicated not only to himself but some of his fan base.
Opening for Lambert were two champions from NBC’s “The Voice” – season 1 winner Javier Colon and the season 2 champ Jermaine Paul. Either man could have successfully headlined an outdoor show at Six Flags.
Colon performed a strong, nearly hour-long set. Among the 11 songs performed were “Stand Up," Runnin’" and “Echo.” The soul singer delivered powerful versions of the Kris Allen-penned “Raise Your Hand” and his own “Stitch by Stitch.”
Paul, fresh from his May 8 victory on “The Voice,” was regrettably limited to a 15-minute, four-song set. His vocals on four covers – “Livin’ on a Prayer,” “Against All Odds,” “Open Arms” and “I Believe I Can Fly” – were nothing short of magnificent.
Singer Adam Lambert (near right), who recently said some not-so-nice things about fellow “American Idol” alumnus Clay Aiken on Andy Cohen’s “Watch What Happens Live” on Bravo, was at Six Flags New England over the weekend. While there, Lambert hopped on the Goliath coaster. . . .
It was a gorgeous early Summer day at Six Flags New England, and you couldn’t ask for a better day for a concert… and you couldn’t ask for a better concert than Adam Lambert, Javier Colon and The Voice Season Two winner Jermaine Paul!
As the crowd began to head toward the stage after a fun day riding the rides at Six Flags, Jermaine Paul opened the show, with some amazing cover songs including his unique take on “I Believe I Can Fly.” While Jermaine certainly had a winning voice on television, his vocals carry even more power live. As he belted out the final verse, the audience cheered and buzz started growing instantly, with comments from “he really gave me goosebumps,” to “yep, I’m in love.”
CT artist (and The Voice Season One winner) Javier Colon was next up, and he opened his set with a cover of his own, what he called “one of my favorite songs in the world”– Adele’s “Someone Like You.” The crowd went wild as Javier performed “Come Through For You,” the song from his new album featuring his former Voice mentor Adam Levine. The singer explained that the first time he heard Kris Allen’s “Raise Your Hand” he knew it was destined to be on his new record, and the Allen-penned tune sounded amazing on stage. Naturally, Javier also covered “Time After Time,” the tune he used to really wow both the judges and viewers everywhere during his Voice competition.
By this time, the crowd had grown to over five thousand people, all anxiously awaiting Adam Lambert to bring home this epic Spring Fling, and chants of “Number One!” and “Adam-Adam-Adam!” could be heard from one end of the theme park to the other.
The chants turned to cheers as the singer and his band took the stage. Clad in a black vest, denim shorts and black boots, Adam was certainly styling for the Summer weather, but the heat didn’t impact his energy one bit!
Lambert kicked things off with his funky new title track “Trespassing,” and the crowd’s cheers only got louder. With decidedly little on-stage banter, Lambert rolled through a rocking set of classics like “Whataya Want From Me?” along with brand new tracks from his recent release such as “Kickin’ In,” “Chokehold” and the impossibly dancey “Shady.”
Lambert asked the audience if they heard the new album and I don’t there was a fan in the audience who didn’t cheer in affirmation– “I worked so damn hard on this one,” Adam recalled on stage, before thanking his fans, especially those of us here in Connecticut, for all their support.
As a special treat, the singer showed off his incredible range with an “Oh yeah” vocal solo that lead directly in to another song from Trespassing, “Broken English.”
“It got a little heavy with those last few [songs]” quipped Lambert. To lighten things up, the band started up one of the poppiest tunes on the new album, “Naked Love,” which really got the crowd going again. The excitement kept growing as Lambert teased “You guys wanna hear an oldie?” The crowd exploded as the band let loose the dancey drum beat of “If I Had You,” before performing his latest single “Better Than I Know Myself,” which the singer turned into an epic, hook-filled arena rocker, worthy of his (semi-)bandmates in Queen.
As things winded down, Lambert addressed the audience once again. “I wrote a song about myself, but also all of you.” he said. Lambert referred to his “die-hards,” and how crazy they are both in person and on Twitter– but he doesn’t mind, proudly declaring “I’m crazy too.” He dedicated one final song from his new record to the audience– “Cuckoo.”
By the end of the awesome performance, it was certainly no exagerration to say everyone was definitely a little ‘cuckoo’ for Adam.
