We had a great time at the mini-listening party, the highlight of course was watching the live stream of the Boston concert on the big screen. I made sure my neighbor + DH came early so they can see him "live". She was very impressed and really liked him. Her DH, not so much. He doesn't like all the leather, boots, etc.
She was very interested and intrigued with Adamtopia and even asked Cassie to show her the site and how to access it. She said that she will be buying his CD, and yes, the deluxe edition. YAY!!!! D, hope you are successful but if you need help with Adamtopia, just let me know and I will be over at your house in a heartbeat. You will find that being a Glambert is so much fun and will add years to your life!

Rosie Lambert @rosie6172 Glamberts!!! Trespassing review in Sunday Herald Sun in Melbourne Australia ) gave it 3 1/2 stars lv Rosie xxx pic.twitter.com/vi7jvFBo Yay OZ. Must admit have been a bit buried with work and not keeping up on reviews etc here. I have already bought and gifted a few copies of album and with basically NO promotion was riding the top 10 on iTunes. I don't think NCOE goes to radio here until June sometime... FInd it interesting how reviewers seem to be pretty much universally split on end of album, they either get the light dark and appreciate the balance brought by the moodier stuff or they are like kids with a sugar hit who don't want to eat their greens to balance out all the sweet pop :-)

iTunes update:
Adam is still #2 behind AI Artists Season 11 John Mayer is third.
There seems to be some discrepancy in the charts used, as the Tennacious D was reported as being in contention. I am looking at iTunes Charts, under Albums.

www.youtube.com/watch?v=plAy9dvXEUAThis is a review posted on youtube by a young man (13) who appears to be a casual fan. He didn't buy FYE, only IIHY. But he just picked up TP at Target (after hearing the songs) and loves it. He loves Trespassing, Kickin In, Pop That Lock, and surprisingly for a thirteen year old thinks "Broken English is the Shit". This show that Adam can reach young people with his music, and that the important urban audience is opening up to him. My big take-away from the young man's review is why a teenager can connect to Adam. Adam is 30, and some would say "too old" for POP. The young man says he likes Adam because he is "different... because he's a rebel". As he explicitly states, "I like rebels...because I'm a teenager". I wish the suits at RCA could see this review. It says don't go "safe" in promoting Adam. Young people connect to a guy who doesn't need a gps to tell him where to go. The kid also likes NCOE too. So, yeah, that song could break if RCA could just get it played.

TALCvidsþ@TALCvids RT kms15423: Fans - here's a little background on Barry Walters, the author of the #Trespassing 5 Star Review www.emusic.com/listen/#/author/barrywalters/:Five stars! \o/ RT kms15423: Check out Adam Lambert, Trespassing (Deluxe Version) on @emusic #eMusicLoves www.emusic.com/music-news/review/....deluxe-version/What does a major singer do with a style designed for minor ones? A singular talent who got his break on a show crazy with copycats, Adam Lambert can deliver deftly idiosyncratic razzle-dazzle with an operatic intensity that would leave the average rocker gasping for air. Yet he presents it in dance-pop full of studio distractions that ordinarily disguise negligible talents whose greatest ability is looking good. Deftly idiosyncratic razzle-dazzle with an operatic intensity Expressing his individual inner self in a pop machine designed to flaunt the interchangeably anonymous is the challenge he faces on Trespassing, the follow-up to his 2009 debut For Your Entertainment. That’s also the subtext of the Pharrrell Williams-collaborated title track, which examines obstacles put in the path of outsiders whose destiny is the mainstream. Kindred infiltrators like Bruno Mars, Nile Rodgers and Sam Sparro help Lambert create a masculine, more aggressive variant on the techno-pop that’s typically a girl’s game. His virile voice doesn’t need all the processing it undergoes in “Never Close Our Eyes” and other singles, but the sonic fortification affirms Lambert can be as be as vocally androgynous as he wants to be and still sound Top 40-friendly. Nevertheless, it’s the slower, more sensual cuts like “Broken English” and “Outlaws of Love” that best showcase his inimitable wail. “They say we’ll rot in hell, well I don’t think we will,” he groans in the latter, leaving no doubt what’s on his mind.
