[grins a bit frustratedly] So did anyone actually tweet Shoshana about telling Adam to NOT to use a backwards peace sign in the UK?? If so, and she noticed, can peeps please tell her to ALSO tell Adam before any more UK interviews that Belfast IS NOT ACTUALLY IN SCOTLAND !!! 'Cause Adam's gonna come across as a clueless (and maybe slightly disrespectful  ) American doofus if he keeps doing that. :  #stuffthatlooksdumbevenifyadon'tmeanit I know you have Adam's best interests in mind but I can't get behind this idea of tweeting Shoshanna so that Adam doesn't embarrass himself. In a way, even though it's a good intention, it's disrespectful to Adam. I think Adam is a very smart guy but he has his blind spots. Just like everyone else. But he's also a 30 year old grown man. If he makes a faux pas, like the one you mention, I'm sure someone in the UK will point it out to him. If it's on air or in an interview, then he'll have to acknowledge it and answer it. I have faith that he can do this and not come off like a doofus :-/. I don't think we need to worry about having Shoshanna coach him on what to say or how to act. JMO. ETA. and if nobody has told him about the peace sign, then maybe it isn't such a big deal. Maybe people make allowance for someone from a different country, IDK. My family is directly from Ireland and I have visited often. Somehow, I've never heard of a peace sign being anything other than a peace sign or a Victory symbol. If it's the same there then I've probably flipped off a few people inadvertently over the years.  |
