So back during the Glam Nation tour Adam played a wonderful concert venue here in Melbourne called The Palais Theatre. Capacity 3850 people. He was originally supposed to perform at a smaller venue but the promoters moved it to the larger venue because it sold out almost instantly at the original one. He went on to sell out the Palais - something that many acts don't manage to do (including some pretty big name acts in US). Well you can add a new name to the list of artists who can't sell out a show at Palais: Carrie Underwood. She is playing there tonight and I have it on good authority (husband runs security for venue) that she has only sold 2000 seats. : ;D It must be tough for Carrie who sells out big arenas in the US to play for small audiences in Australia. It is hard for country artists to make it outside North America. Adam is a bit like the mirror image -- a lot of his biggest audiences have been outside of the US.

Concert market is quite strange here in oz. Lots of acts that you would expect to sell big venues struggle (across all genres) and then you get wild cards like Pink who sold out a record 15 shows at Rod Laver arena (capacity 15k); George Michael sold out Etihad Stadium last year (40k); KD Lang sold out Music Bowl (10k) but Seal couldn't... just no picking it. Keith Urban is playing a tour down here and off back of being a judge on recent The Voice series will definitely sell out whatever venue he chooses to. Carrie is virtually unknown outside of tabloid magazines down here. Although her album is currently #64 on Oz iTunes so someone is buying it!

I was at Alice's Summerthing! All I can say is San Francisco is the most beautiful place on Earth; Golden Gate Park is Golden. Adam was a spectacular jewel and the place was so packed I couldn't leave even to find a loo from 9:30 till 4:30! I marvel that I was able to see Adam Fucking Lambert for free on Sunday; and tomorrow night I leave for Russia; beginning an odyssey that has every credit card company in mailing distance glad for my passion! Of course I can explain it. Any Adamtopian can explain it. If you can find a way to be there, you find a way. If you can't, you thrill in the recaps. In turn, we all find a way to connect. Well, it's way late and I'm way too giddy to make much sense. I'll just say that "Hot Love" was on fire! Just wait till he's memorized the words! Sound sucked. I'm not sure Adam did a sound check. The other acts did - and none seemed to have any issues. I feel Adam's head is feeling the Queen; its crown. He walks on stage and owns the world. If you want to believe in anything, believe in that. Loved your post, Momtomany....everything about him is so perfect at the moment. Most of all - he looks so happy. Looking forward to seeing him on Breakfast tomorrow. Realise that you and many others are about to leave on very exciting journeys - to Adam via Kiev, Moscow, Poland and then here to London. I wish you the most wonderful experiences and memories that you'll want to keep forever. Hope all goes safely and smoothly - and see you on July 10th!

Bridgey, can you shed some light on the state of Adam's new music on oz radio? it seems the oz radio has been less than enthusiastic about his singles this time around, in big contrast to last era. Carrie has been charting on ARIA every week since her album's release, but Adam hasn't been for the past 3 weeks. Thx!

Part of it l think is presence. He hasn't been down here and phone interviews are fine but not the same. I don't know if label over estimated his support down here based on era one - he's still a new artist ... Bottom line I have no damn idea and l avoid top 40 radio like plague because Florida music and the like makes me stabby and that's all they seem to play.

IS Tutka Roadshow Suomi ep. 3 (9'37) www.iltasanomat.fi/tutkaroadshow/art-1288479737425.htmlKatri and Sauli visit Riihimäki which is a small town that is known as railway crossroads, 'hardly anyone has actually seen anything else apart from the station'. It is situated in the outskirts of Helsinki metropolitan area (70 kms to the north, neighbour to Hyvinkää). There is a Gay Pride happening where they meet Janne Kataja (hosting, radio, tv). On thursday we will get Riihimäki part two.
