Adam sings jazz scat and dances a little Charleston. Starting at 3:30.
I just love this clip. Vocally and visually it is the perfect example of exuberance, and joi de vivre. Totally uninhibited, his love for music, singing and performance shines thru.

Found this little clip from Behind the Music. Adam as a senior in high school. Already a beautiful voice, but sounding almost like a baritone.

And, Adam acoustic with no amplification. Two songs and a great interview.

Adam channels a little Elvis. I have this performance on a cd in my car, and I consider it happy rock n roll. Always end up repeating it several times. Both Adam and the band are having such a good time. Great way to start the day!

Cassie... have you seen this Adam YT pre-Idol? What do you think? RARE: "You Can't Win" Adam Lambert: Upright CabaretUploaded by Glambertx96 on Sep 3, 2010That is a very rare recording of Adam. My first reaction? WTF are all those people doing talking while Adam is singing? Don't they realize when there is greatness happening? ??? This song has some seriously high passages in it where Adam is singing actual lyrics. Up to the F5 repeatedly. He also hits an Ab5 at one point. I was unfamiliar with the song, so I YTed MJ's performance of it for the Wiz. Hmmmm. Same key, same tempo, but a very different sound to it, IMO. MJ does not do all the high riffs that Adam assays. The song has been Adamized. Also, MJ sings it with a very light, almost childish tone to his voice. Adam's sounds powerful and assertive. I think this is another case where I am so impressed by Adam's version, that I am disappointed to hear the original. (No criticism of MJ meant or implied.) I still shake my head when I hear Adam just toss off these songs like child's play. Amazing.

Thank you so much , cassie... not familiar with the song either. I'm glad you found the original and I agree with everything you said in comparison.
