I can't think of any queen songs that would overly challenge Adam from a range perspective, but I can see how some of the arrangements could be... Although as TWOP Jacob once said his voice can do backflips while doing the dishes and hang out the washing at the same time (or something like that).  Agreed. Technically, Adam is much stronger than Freddie. That is no slam to Freddie, because Freddie did not have the extensive vocal training that Adam has. Range wise, Freddie beats Adam on the low end, Adam beats Freddie on the high end. But, Freddie's low notes were in harmonies on recordings. The melody lines in concerts are easily within Adam's range. There may be songs that have many layers of vocal harmonies which cannot be reproduced live without an extensive backing track. Those Queen may choose to eschew, but not because of Adam's ability. |

Didn't the tweet from the sound check yesterday say that Brian was singing "Who Wants to Live Forever?" Sure would love to hear Adam sing it as Freddie did in the video that was posted. Brian sang the beginning and then Freddie took over. That would be beyond amazing. Wonder if Adam got any sleep last night? Wasn't the original idea to have eastern European "warmup" concerts ahead of Sonisphere? Now look what's happened. The biggest concert of them all is first.  |
