Talon - one more question for you - hope you don't mind  I see "complaints" here and their on Q forum re Adam's vibrato....which mystifies me to no extent... it is a beautiful technique used by every trained singer (I am an opera person...)... but even leaving that aside - Freddie is using vibrato in the very clips used at the show - his vibrato is very well pronounced! so, the question is: do you happen to know where the "vibrato" critisism is coming from and why? (I understand the desire to critisize SOMETHING ;D) I don't mind - I enjoy answering questions about Queen and our eccentric fanbase (although I can't really speak for everyone obviously...just my opinions and my views on it - Other Queen fans might not agree with me  ) As for the vibrato thing. Personal taste I guess. In my own opinion, Adam's got a much more pronounced vibrato than Freddie had. It is a valid technique and it certainly doesn't bother me as much as it does bother others...but I do think Adam uses it a bit more than I like. Not enough to make me dislike his voice mind you  I think part of it is looking for things to criticize. Although i think the argument about Adam singing the harder rock songs is more valid to me personally...*shrug* Yup, as I thought - nothing else to critisize Hope all those recordings you mentioned are released. Oh, I forgot to mention about The Voice radio Finland that during the last 24 hours they have played Adam 5 times: IIHY, Aftermath, BTIKM, WWFM, NCOE. YleX plays NCOE every day now (after getting to the most wanted list). Thank you for all the hearts keeping NCOE in top 10 (nr 4 this week) as it seems to guarantee one spin per day in the afternoon. The radio channel is available everywhere and has the biggest audience. NRJ played WWFM once during the night and NCOE 5 times. Nova the same. These channels have a large area covered, but not all the country. NRJ is more like hits to teens and Nova surely has middle-aged audience spinning a mixture of classics and new music from established artists with a new hit or two of today sprinkled in there. Aalto none, YleX3m none. Well, we can't have it all I guess. But four channels on board out of six is really good, don't you think? :Clap: :Clap: :Clap: |

Happy to have done two short voting sessions: thumbs up on 102.9 and Q102 a couple of times and clicking in Q102 and 104.3Myfm about 60 each. This time I had Manu Chao's music to keep me company, quite energetic choice I say. Now a short break before sitting glued to my laptop waiting for possible news from Wroclaw - of course some clicking in mind then too |
