As long as the body guards are hot, I'm good.  I'm still crushing on the KGBish guy in the navy blazer who shadowed Adam during his Moscow concert last year. I specialized in the videos which showed him hovering just off stage with a Mona Lisa smile. Serious business now: I don't want to mess with setting up an ITunes UK account (chiefly because I'm stupid and will probably wipe out my US acct) and wondered if there is somewhere I can just put a credit card in to purchase something for the cause. I THINK I am getting one brought back by one of our world travelers, but if she's shopping as much as it sounds like she is, either I won't get it or she'll have to tape it to her body to get it home. I know to count for UK they have to be dispensed over there, gifted or whatever, and that is fine. Please let me know. Thanks. I opened a paypal account and they took my donation for Adam out of my credit card.. I just went with the address here on adamtopia that was given by fans in UK.went to site and did the above. It was so easy and got a reply & notice of payment back in 20 minutes. |

For anyone else who wants to set up a UK itunes account, I think you can use any real UK post code (like a zip code) probably with a made up address. I used my study abroad apartment back at Glasgow Uni  . You can also go here: www.fakenamegenerator.com/ toggle your nationality to UK, and it will spit out an address for you. You can actually buy the single or album yourself, which might help with the the official charts (all gifts of itunes from UK fans will of course impact the itunes charts and the sales will go toward certification, but just like Billboard, multiple gifts from one itunes account might not be all counted towards other charts). In order to do this and get around the need for a UK credit card, you can buy a UK itunes gift card online. I did this at www.mmoga.com/iTunes/iTunes-Cards-UK/ using a paypal account to pay for the gift card. Downside, of course you might have to purchase a larger amount gift card than you plan to use. Also I think these gaming sites might add a premium on top of the price of the card. So you might just want to make the donation at requestadam and let somebody gift you. Don't forget you need to download the gift for it to count! Brit for a day! :D -------- @savvy I think you will be fine and not mess up your US account as long as you set up the second account with a different login email. Now I haven't actually tried downloading a UK purchase into my existing itunes program on my laptop or getting it onto my ipod yet, so I'm not totally sure... maybe someone else has. |
