Killer Queen would be a good one. Surprisingly that's one the band never performed in full live. Only as a part of a medley. Really? That's odd. First time for everything though 8-) Sucks... that song is my jam. One of the best headbanging tunes I know :D

Yeah I quoted the question that nica had but wasn't sure if it should have gone there or in this thread. *shrug* Glad you're enjoying the gig I am too and hoping for a few surprises during the London show - although to be fair I don't expect much. The band was never much for changing the set list up too much. I would think with 3 gigs in a row at a venue they might do something to shake it up though. I still would love to hear them do White Queen, It's A Hard Life, Spread Your Wings, It's Late, or Innuendo. I think Adam could definitely pull the first 3 of them off - It's Late would be tough but I don't care as it's one of my all time favs and Innuendo...well that's a pipe dream at this point I think - it's too complicated to add off the cuff. TALON, THANK YOU for the explanation! Everyone - please read! Talon gave us a little window into the Queen fandom, peeled the onion for us! www.adamtopia.com/index.cgi?board=daily&action=display&thread=991&page=32I am so grateful you took the time to write! I now understand the "psychology" behind the forum tone- - Knowing that there are Freddie's recordings sitting somewhere in a vault and not being released must be maddening... I am sure there is an onion to peel for the reasons as well, but that's another topic entirely... Next time I go there I will try and look at the posts from "a hard core Queen fan" POV (Is there a fandom name or is it not cool enough for the "true rock" crowd to have a label?) Re the current set list - Roger said some words to the effect of "give the public what they want = great hits" in the latest "historic" press conference. So, I doubt we will see any "less" popular songs. It would be great if they expanded the set list! Talon - do you mind telling us where you are located? By the timing of your posts I assume you are somewhere in EU and your English leads me to believe you are in the UK...that's the extent of my Sherlok capabilities ;D Thank you again for the recording link and the time you spend with us!

Weird - surfing around on TV and they were playing Queen at Wembley on TV. Landed on show right when WWTLF, really interesting to hear live version with Freddie right after watching Kiev concert again...

Talon - one more question for you - hope you don't mind I see "complaints" here and their on Q forum re Adam's vibrato....which mystifies me to no extent... it is a beautiful technique used by every trained singer (I am an opera person...)... but even leaving that aside - Freddie is using vibrato in the very clips used at the show - his vibrato is very well pronounced! so, the question is: do you happen to know where the "vibrato" critisism is coming from and why? (I understand the desire to critisize SOMETHING ;D)

My HMV CD arrived this morning and Map is gorgeous !! I wish I knew how to let you all hear it but I am tech challenged and by the time I will have worked out what to do and done it the song will already be out there !! Won't be long now I am sure 8-) My daughters arrived here this morning too ( I am just a delivery address ) I wasn't allowed to open it ( she is another obsessed fan ) to listen to Map and I have just dropped it off at her house. Even if I could have copied it I ,too, am very technically challenged and would not have known what to do with it but felt sure someone would have done it by now. I am sure we will hear it sometime today though. Counting the days now till Thursday, can't wait.

This may have already been posted but IMO is very important later today/tonight particularly to help drive NCOE up the UK itunes charts which in turn have a direct impact on UK radio play. Happily it looks like anyone from anywhere can set up a UK itunes account easily and then ask to be gifted/and/or donate to single downloads. I'm in :D There is an update on how to participate now from requestadam since the two original UK groups are nearing their paypal limit max. This post explains the direct correlation between achieving a high itunes position for NCOE within less than a day and impacting radio in the UK: requestadamlambert.com/2012/07/04/uk-ncoe-success-will-help-globally-lets-all-make-a-push/The post copied below explains how to participate with the most updated info: requestadamlambert.com/2012/07/06/uk-ncoe-sales-push-donate-beginning-now/------------------------------------------ " We need to make a BIG splash early on the iTunes UK chart, both on Sunday and Monday – we want to see NCOE in the Top 10 and get it as high as possible. How Adam fans *OUTSIDE the UK* can truly help THIS WEEKEND! Step 1: Set up a UK iTunes account (see directions; it works!) techjunkie.co.za/2009/10/15/create-a-uk-itunes-account-without-a-credit-card/Step 2: If you are financially able, donate the cost of a download ($2 US) or more by simply following the DONATE button on this page: requestadamlambert.com/2012/07/06/uk-ncoe-sales-push-donate-beginning-now . >>IMPORTANT: After entering how much you want to donate/gift, there is an option called “Add special instructions to the seller” – there you can insert your e-mail to the iTunes UK account. If you can’t get that to work, send us that iTunes UK e-mail at RequestAdam@aol.com … we need the download to arrive to you! Step 3: Once NCOE is available and you receive your gift, download ASAP to help drive the song up the iTunes chart on Sunday and Monday. NOTE 1: If you want to help but don’t have funds, that’s OK! Do Step 1 and set up the UK iTunes account and then e-mail us at RequestAdam@aol.com. The goal is to have extra funds to have those gifted. NOTE 2: If you want to help but can’t set up a UK iTunes account, that’s OK! Please donate if you can. It’s Important to EVERYONE, EVERYWHERE? Adam needs to have success with NCOE in a major music market. With the Queen concerts also happening in London, the timing is great for Adam to make a splash. However, we still need to do what we can. Having a good sales debut can have a dramatically positive impact on radio in the UK. So if NCOE does well on the sales chart, there is good chance Radio 1 (the other major UK radio player) will get on board! Also, any tangible success in the UK can only help things in the U.S., Canada and elsewhere! DISCLAIMERS: The PayPal funds being collected are being transferred in intervals to British Glamberts who are in place to follow through on the purchasing. It’s called TEAMWORK! If, for any reason, we end up with extra money that cannot go to single sales, we will have our British friends buy X number of physical Trespassing CDs in stores. "

I was checking The Voice radio site to see if they still play NCOE and if I could find out if the video is on TV. I saw someone mention that it is on TV but I have not seen it. Still the playlist to check but I saw this: Want to have a word with Adam Lambert? Chat with him this monday! (voice.fi July 6, 2012) www.voice.fi/uutiset/musiikki/onko-asiaa-adam-lambertille-chattaa-miehen-kanssa-ensi-maanantaina/1/40181Lambert is touring in Europe with Queen and schedule permitting will promote also his own new record, 'Trespassing'. Do you have questions you would like to ask the singer? Do you want to praise or criticise him? This monday is your chance to be interactive and chat with him live! Adam chats with his fans at 19.30 Finnish time. You can participate and send questions beforehand using the links below (home page, myspace, facebook for Adam) If these chat sessions are not enough for real fans you can also contact him later on monday in CapitolFM UK programme here (link). TN For 'praise or criticise' they use an idiom with roses and sticks and I am not sure if you have the same. For 'have a word' they use a phrase that is formal but neutral (not necessarily neg/reproach/discipline).
