I want to download a Skrillex track off iTunes but then I'll be pushing someone up the chart who isn't Adam and that just won't do >:( I could always download another three NCOE to cancel it out but I'd still feel dirty :( Hahahaha. I know it is a rule on this board not to tell others how to behave, so might I make a suggestion that you perhaps consider waiting until next week ;D

I've really enjoyed this collaboration with Queen and don't feel it will affect his solo career in any negative ways. Many artists do a variety of collaborations on the side as well as develop their solo careers. The exposure is a great benefit along with the opportunity to witness a large tour on the move. He's performing music that he loves and appears to be having a great time. It will be interesting to watch how this exposure boosts his music career stateside.

Adam seems to be made of hi energy stuff. He's got the qi to pull this off, no doubt. And I freaking love that Dragon Attack jacket. Reminds me of the AI feather boas, only with more class.

It will be interesting to watch how this exposure boosts his music career stateside. I'm not a Queen expert, but they struggled in the US didn't they? I remember a documentary where Brain said they nosedived after the release of the video for I want to break free and never recovered. Unless a new generation has grown up appreciating Queen on a large scale, then I don't see the bump stateside, both in terms of immediate sales for Adam, or even having an impact outside of more credibility within the industry. However, that credibility may have some impact on PDs, I simply don't know enough. In countries where Queen was massively popular, like Australia, we're seeing a bump in Trespassing sales - it's 11pm here and the album is now up to No7 on itunes. It had disappeared a long time ago because of a lack of radio play and only started to re-appear after the Queen concerts - there is no other explanation for it, other than Queen fans checking out what Queen is up to and then checking out Adam. And they must be new fans, because the hard core ones bought the album ages ago, and it's the standard version that is selling, not the deluxe. Very non-glambert behaviour ;D. If the album is selling well, then the PDs might take notice here. I can only imagine that same reasoning playing out in the UK and Europe.

Not sure I attribute the bump on iTunes oz to Queen, I haven't seen much coverage on it in general media - l think more likely is due to it being Album of week at special price. Also is #31 overall and #7 pop. Adding The exposure for him is great, but as I noted yesterday I think for him to do selected appearances with Queen as "event" shows periodically would be great but not a tour. (YMMV)

^^^^Yeah, what I'm saying also is there are a lot of Queen fans who track what they do online, not through other media channels, which is why I believe it has had an impact.
It's all good news though :D
