Well that would make sense as new tracks go. I wouldn't think of it as radical though. 5 "new" is nothing to sneeze at but given the NOTW slant 3/4 were what I would expect to be added. Spread Your Wings would slide into the Play The Game/Save Me/Love Kills slot. Sheer will probably take stone cold crazys spot. Get Down Make Love will be of the Dragon Attack type slot. Bicycle Race is a nice addition to the medley. While not radical of Roger's hit I'm in love my car would be a nice switch from magic/days.
It's late would be an awesome and dangerous addition so I really hope they do add that one...
And hopefully it works and sticks around. Sometimes bri doesn't give things a chance to stick...

But surely we're fairly confident of the setlist already? There was no reason for Adam to have that Spotify playlist posted here recently if it weren't the setlist. And with 5 new (to Adam) songs on there, it is quite radical! Oh lord no. I don't think in a heartbeat that Adam would post the actual setlist in a spotify list. The clue aspect would be that perhaps a few of the more obscure Queen tracks from News of the World (It's Late, Sheer Heart Attack, etc.) indicated that THEY would be included in the set. He probably included them in his list so he could help himself learning the songs! BUT at the same time - they've mentioned the album a few times so I'm sure Adam went back and listened....and perhaps he just liked a few of those songs....for example wasn't Fight From The Inside on the list? Roger already said that one wasn't in it in his Queen Podcast interview. SO nothing is definitive.

Brian and Kerry Ellis released a new single from their album today. Seems so far to be UK only as far as sales but here's the lyric video of the "radio edit". It's nice. A simple pop/rock track like most of their stuff is. To be truthful, I found Roger's Journey's End more fulfilling artistically....but there is some nice stuff here...probably my favorite "new" piece off Golden Days. A couple of points re: Australia/NZ press, etc. - Mike Myers? Brian's comment was almost lost in editing, but he states something like he may be involved in something we're doing. I would assume that would have to be the Queen biopic - but if it was that wouldn't Brian just say that? OR maybe it's just not signed on the line so he didn't want to commit. If not...what else could it possibly be? - I have to admit, I'm usually a bit of a curmudgeon and hardlined realist when talk comes of the setlist. For so long it's been same old same old with one or two new or obscure tracks...and there has been plenty of times where B&R have said something that indicated that there would be some excitement with the setlist...and for the most part it's been a bit lackluster...The closest it came to excitement was the 2014 tour since due to the Rainbow project and due to not having to share time with other tracks (like in QPR) we had some old tracks that legitimately hadn't been done for awhile. Roger famously promised a "rolling set list" before the 2008 QPR tour...and that quickly dissipated. Brian ever since 2014 has been saying things like dangerous live etc. etc. But let's face it it's been the same tracks just shuffled around a bit....with about one to two country specific things, one to two slide ins that usually end up going away. Opener few rocker types (fbg, scc, Hammer To Fall) Medley type (Lap of the Gods, Seven Seas, Killer Queen, Don't Stop?) First act finale - Somebody To Love Brian time (always Love Of My Life - if lucky maybe Brian plays a bit and earlier on '39) Roger time (Days or Magic unless Adam is sick we may get both) Under Pressure mid point showcase - Newish track (like Play The Game, Love Kills, or Save Me) & WWTLF guitar solo here come the hits (Bites the Dust, Break Free, Ga Ga, I Want It All, Crazy, Show Must Go On (MAYBE)) BoRap WWRY & WATC finale So for 4-5 years it's been about the same. BUT multiple times now and without being asked, it seems like all 3 are saying new show, new setlist, rarities (albeit rarities by common audience factor I know - I'm not expecting demos, b-sides, or unreleased stuff ).... I'm actually starting to feel myself believe. The curmudgeon says believe it when you see it - not before....but the more they talk, the more I'm hopeful. We'll see!

- (and keep going if you want to cry a bit at Bri and Rog's notations of his passing...especially Roger) Thanks Talon for bringing that to my attention. It's also sad to the see the singers who were part of the tribute show and have since passed away. You're welcome. And yes I noticed that too...We're all getting slightly closer to Journey's End...

heartbreaking to see the end....ty, Talon You're welcome. Meant to highlight the Roger vs the Press but couldn't help but keep watching :( ok ok ok!!!...you guys have been around longer have whitnessed more of Brian And Roger...I just had that one snap in mind, that all, and by no means did I think Brian was shocked or offended or such just could have done without it...more a matter of necessity... I guess you guys are right that Brian has seen it all (probably quite literally) and then some... Sorry! Didn't mean to pile on...I just see talk about B&R and their thoughts, etc. and figure Ooh...This is a way I can contribute I can't help with Adam fashion, or Adam thoughts or history, or things of the like lol!

Just popping in to say that Brian is definitely NOT offended by Adam's language. Brian has dropped quite a few F-Bombs in his life....
And he worked with Freddie. A man who used vulgar language as an art form.
The first line of "Life Is Real"? Was originally:
Cunt stains on my pillow.
Freddie's assistant convinced him to change it since the record company wouldn't allow it.
He went on to change it to Cum stains....before finally settling for the much more tamer....Guilt stains.
I'm sure an occasional F Bomb from Adam doesn't even register! LOL
Roger too for that matter....One of my favorite moments from Roger I have is a biography interview where he said the press were hounding Freddie at the end and that they were hounding them for comments on Freddie...Start around 41:45 below -
(and keep going if you want to cry a bit at Bri and Rog's notations of his passing...especially Roger)

I've had a crush on Neil and his dimples from the first time I saw him! I think his hats emphasize the dimples more too. Can you imagine how this Tyler must feel to go from the tribute show, to the real thing! Gah!! WOW!! I also wanted to point out that the dude is extremely talented AND humble. Very down to earth - just a real nice guy - and he sings, plays guitar, drums. If someone had to replace Rufus than Tyler is a good choice.

A few weeks back I posted that I thought that "Americana Queen" and being inspired by the News of the World Tour might either see RT replace or add to Days/Magic by bringing back I'm In Love With My Car. Maybe doing it during the early portion medley type or maybe as part of his own middle section.... then RT's official twitter posts this: Coincidence? I'd be happier to see Tenement Funster or the never played Drowse...but it'd be nice to bring this one back

FINAL ONE! I think this is likely! It would fit Adam's voice very well so hopefully this will be a go...I have a feeling this will slide right into the Play The Game slot...so to speak
Spread Your Wings
Written by: John Deacon
Musicians:
Freddie Mercury - lead vocals, piano Brian May - guitars John Deacon - bass guitar, acoustic guitar Roger Taylor - drums
- Issued as a single in the UK (where it hit #34), Belgium, France, Germany, The Netherlands (where it hit #20), and Spain.
- Played live through 1979 and then surprisingly and unfortunately dropped - Freddie would often throw some innuendo out to the crowd introducing the song as Spread Your Legs.
- It was around the shooting of this video (and We Will Rock You) that the band parted ways with John Reid and went on to managing themselves (with help from Jim Beach). There was no acrimony and the band are still friends with Reid, they just felt that Elton John took too much time from John and that they could manage themselves at this point.
- Axl Rose has cited this as a song that meant a lot to him while growing up and helped inspire him to become a musician.
ALTERNATIVE RELEASED VESRIONS:
BBC SESSION #6 VERSION
- ESSENTIAL listening. - This version is similar to the original except it has an awesome rocking out upbeat ending where Roger goes into to double time and it is pure energy. I wish this was the released version and that they played it live like this all the time.
SINGLE EDIT
- NOT essential listening, just a different fade point.
DVD EDIT
- NOT essential listening, just a different fade point. - This IS the video though so that is interesting - yes it's from the same shoot as We Will Rock You which was a single in the US but not the UK while Spread Your Wings was the opposite - probably why they though they could get away with it...
UNRELEASED AND UNHEARD
TRENT REZNOR REMIX - Considering how interesting his other two mixes are, I'd be very interested to hear this one...
OFFICIALLY RELEASED LIVE VERSIONS:
LIVE KILLERS VERSIONS
- AUDIO only.
UNRELEASED LIVE VERSION
LIVE IN PARIS 1979
- I love this version - well done and one of the only videos of the song in existence.
PERSONAL NOTES: - A hard song to sing, as it stays up in the range, but fun. If I had to pick one this would be my favorite John Deacon tune. LOVE the uptempo bit. This is one of those potential songs for QAL if they continue.
