www.therealstevegray.com/2011/05/the-non-talented-james-durbin-dumped-from-american-idol/ The Non- Talented James Durbin Dumped From ‘American Idol’. So, James was voted off ‘Idol’ tonight. As he should have never made it this far with his lack of control and pitch problems, will be good for him to be out of the sprotlight. Some cray fans are blaming Adam for him getting kicked off. First, while it may seem hard to believe, Adam is not God, and had nothing to do with James going home. That was the votes of the American public, the same people who let him lose. Two, James fucking sucks and has little talent. Have no idea how he made it so far……………… best comment Rachel: May 13, 2011 at 3:42 PM Oh, and Steve, what do you mean Adam isn’t God….. them’s fighting words, bro !! But I’ll let it pass this time !

www.hollywoodreporter.com/news/anoop-desai-x-factor-will-187895Interesting and somewhat sad interview with Anoop about how hard it is to break into the music business, and the stigma attached to one for being on American Idol "Once you step on that Idol stage, you have the potential to play with the big boys, to do what Adam Lambert has done, it's just harder to get there." aurora thanks for the photo link

popdust.com/2011/05/12/american-idol-top-four-lady-gaga/Pop Dust Maura Johnston on 05/12/2011 4. James Durbin. James’ performances, all pyro-ed out and laden with guitar solos, bookended the show, which I guess is a sign that the producers really really really want him in the finale? “Hey, look, a heterosexual and not as good Adam Lambert! We see dollar signs!”

www.zoiksonline.com/2011/05/american-idols-final-four-is-full-of.html"American Idol’s" Final Four is Full of Future Stars & More Adam Lambert Comparisons Thursday, May 12, 2011 it’s no secret I’m a James Durbin. I’ve gotten into trouble with Adam Lambert fans comparing the two. I think they’re comparable, but in the same way that Freddie Mercury and Steven Tyler are comparable. Lambert and Mercury are perfect singers with amazing range. Their voices are never off pitch. Durbin and Tyler are scratchier, fall off key from time to time, but those imperfections give their voice personality and originality. They also have amazing range. Who’s better? Who fucking cares? You’re talking about two of the greatest singers of all time in Tyler and Mercury, one of the greatest up in coming voices in Lambert and a nobody with nothing but potential in Durbin. Name an Aerosmith fan that doesn’t like Queen and vice versa, I think in the future you’ll see the same with Durbin and Lambert…at least I hope. great comments about Adam

www.ew.com/ew/gallery/0,,20488359_20947784,00.html Entertainment Weekly: 'American Idol': 30 All-Time Best Performances (Adam Lambert's 'Mad World' is no. 2). By Kate Ward | May 11, 2011 2. Adam Lambert, ''Mad World'' Bathed in a spotlight and separated from his usual thrills and frills, Adam used Songs From the Year They Were Born Week to allow us to focus on just two things: Adam and his voice. And we wouldn't have wanted it any other way: ''Mad World'' was haunting, majestic, and downright beautiful. Proving that he didn't need stage antics to sell a song, Adam's version of the Tears for Fears song (inspired by Gary Jules' cover) managed to be both gentle and commanding at once. Kris Allen might have been crowned the victor, but season 8 will always belong to the runner-up's ''Mad World.''
