I wish I could take a trip down memory lane right now as this is the anniversary of my first Adam concert (I'm at work right now and I don't think my colleagues would appreciate it!).
I wonder how many of you here were at this concert? I wish I had known as I was on my own and would have loved to meet some of you. I remember going by the theatre during the day to find out where it was and wondering why so many people were "camped out" along the street under the scaffolding. It wasn't until the second time I went past (and actually turned the corner to find the Nokia) that I started to notice some fans with pictures and t-shirts. I still find it amazing that people were actually in line for so long - it was so hot and humid - not to mention the noise and traffic. And after the concert some went straight out the entrance and turned left to stand in line for next days's concert. That dedication is just as amazing as the ones in line for the London concert which was at the opposite end of the scale temperaturewise!

The usually libidinous WLL is sultry as hell, leaving me gasping for breath. He sits atop the steps panting out the song before creeping down to the stage. The pace is dreamy. He has a little giggle in place of his every inch, momentarily breaking the mood but then using his voice as percussion. The instrumentals are much improved but the drum solo goes on for a bit too long and it sounds like the band gets a little out of time. Those erotic wails are like primal mating calls that really crank up the heat. What he does to the voice after that and at the climax is other-worldly amazing. I love the slower tease of this version, but FS WLL still has the edge for me. What a way to finish off what I think is the best set so far. The vocals are brilliant and he's truly on fire. - Lambosessed adamlambertobsession.blogspot.com/2010/06/glam-nation-new-york-i.html
