I guess I was always somewhat out on the fringe of people who fucking loved the AMA performance. Ok vocal could have been better - especially what we now know of his live prowess but damn that thing was pure rock and roll and put him on the map internationally in way that simply a stellar vocal would never have done. (ok dead horse has arisen letting him lay down again)...
UNICEF is all kinds of wonderful and Terra's version is fab - 2x the Adam is always better than 1. I rarely hear a song I like without thinking #HWAST (how would Adam sing this) so anytime I get even a snippet colour me happy.

Besides talking to myself??? ETA: Seriously, it is problematic at times. Like in a store I'm jabbering away about my list or some other profound thing and I tune into my surroundings and people are giving me very strange looks. Don't worry about those people in the stores, they are either astounded by your wisdom or wondering if it is safe to ask if you have been taking your meds. Either way, just smile sweetly and everything will be all right.

Maybe we should thank all the 'Booty' and 'Blurred Lines' clone vids for desensitizing people to much of anything anymore. I like that Adam's performance is referred to as 'one of the most memorable' vs. gay, gay, gay and disgusting. Personally, I still can't watch that performance as my gut seizes up. I thought he'd thrown his budding career away that night and then..voila..WWFM on Leno. Adam is truly a Phoenix Rising. JMO but I feel he'll soar this third time out. He is positioned himself by seizing opportunities that have come his way but also by being selective as to what he has chosen to say 'yes' to. Conscious of his 'brand'. How he wants to be perceived by the public but not pandering to anyone. What I appreciate about Adam is that he is constantly learning, like a sponge. Experimenting, gauging, strategizing, using social media to his benefit, choosing a strong team to back this new album and all the many gigs that has kept Adam in the public eye, when he could have easily disappeared after TP. And now he is more often referred to as an A-lister and for his vocal and performance prowess. Adam's learning curve has me in constant awe. I look back on some of the old vids that are posted here and Adam has seen quite the metamorphosis in the last 5 years. I find Adam captivating in his unquenchable desire to grow. No wonder he has inspired others in their own lives to reach out and touch the stars. VIV...Ahhh.. my sentiments, and feeling as well! He is growing his brand...and he is growing up, and I am happy that his maturity in terms of what we see on the artistic side of his life is moving with calculation. There are changes in his internal guide, ...where is it coming from? Some thoughts of mine are... the contributions from:
...the confidence boosters beyond his long time supporters,....like his friendship/mentoring/work with Brian and Roger, and Nile, ...gaining confidence and strength from having to close down a with a label and develop a start with a new label. ...hanging on, and having the emotional strength and support to climb out of some prickly spots. ...being recognized for activism, ...being responsible to, and learning from, contracts past and present, ...the management and PR teams, ...seeing some of his best friends making career and family decisions ie..Cherry's, Alisan, ...having money in the bank, and earning that money, and having prospects....
...Whatever is contributing! Glad of the evolution!

I don't think this was brought over either. I am used to adamrocks doing the heavy lifting here by bringing everything over @alternaterra: I ULed the audio of the combined Imag1ne (both Adam’s parts) to Mixcloud. Stream here: www.mixcloud.com/terrapolis/imagine-unicef/ …

Hi, Viv, I've been sitting here, nodding in agreement with everything you've just been saying (I couldn't eat or sleep for weeks after the AMAs - lost ten pounds but I bounced back, and more, sadly)..... And I love that pic too. Hey, SophieB!!! So great to see you posting! Yeah, I feel your pain about bouncing back after losing AMA weight. 'Kickin' In' had a whole new meaning to me..bounce, bounce, bounce..or jiggle, jiggle, jiggle... But the world needs more goddesses, no? That photo is something, isn't it? Tilt of Adam's head, big laugh..you can almost hear him. Not dissing the other photos, but they are so serious. Laughing Adam is hard to beat. viv .... I love you ...
you just solved a conundrum I've been in since May!
Story: I moved into a new appartment in May and with me I moved a nice picture frame with 3 photos arranged (pics perfectly fine, but I'm sick of them). So I decided I wanted an Adam trifecta (bestest idea ever, I know). You can imagine how that decision went: postpone, delay, later, wait for A3, what to choose .... OMG what will peeps think having a stranger on my wall (my mother hates the idea point blank).... soooo the frame sits there empty and lonely ...
Laughing Adam as a theme solves ALL points, gives good cheer, serves the pretty, None ever will ask why you have such a gorgeous laugh on your wall ... and it now gives me the purpose to look for my fav laughing pics ....
Thanks VIV!!

I've also been whacked with that darn head cold that Adamrocks has, so anything I say on the thread cannot be used against me. I'll let everyone know when I'm fair game again..lol.. I'd suggest you play up the cold and do so two weeks after the fact ... I imagine two weeks of free passes for viv ... You sly fox, you, QueeenAl!! Two weeks of free passes...I do take sage advice to heart! *cough, cough, sputter* (am I pathetic enough yet?) Howzat??

I rarely hear a song I like without thinking #HWAST (how would Adam sing this) so anytime I get even a snippet colour me happy. Yeah but did you see the obstacle he had to run through. Not even the top Army Recruiters would of ran that, let alone sing simultaneously. I am surprised he had time to breathe let alone sing, their was a reason he was out of breath by the time his feet hit the ground. IMHO I thought the performance especially in that time, was ballsy to say the least. It showed alot of bravery, that and the ninja roll. I also think it exposed alot of double standards in the industry, and end of day gave Adam international attention. Other wise I don't think he would be where he is today. Compared to Gaga smashing whisky bottles, if he just sat their with some ballad. He would of got lost in the headlines with Gaga smashing whisky bottles, as just that nice gay kid from idol who happens to have a nice voice. What he did gave him the freedom to step out of the idol bubble, and become Adam Lambert. So to me it is a career defining performance, and I woulden't change it for the world.
