Oh hey, so not the point! Adam in all his versatility is the interest. A3 will be amazing regardless of its genre or lack there of. BA, before Adam I never listened to pop music, I prefer classic or the other end of the spectrum Rock. Big bombastic stuff. But with Adams voice i would buy anything he does. I really don't think as a fan I'm too different than most, we just like Adam, whatever he decides to do. My hope is TV Adam and won't even suggest the type of show. Because if he decides to do it I am sure it will be new and original! Fair enough haha. I get it is preferances. Just anticipating I won't like something before I actually hear it, does not make much sense to me. I can imagine one day The Adam Lambert show. Talk show, with guests. And he performs in the end. Radio is for singers with the overall product. You just don't get the full expereince from Adam through Radio. Thats why TV is his selling point. Every time he goes on tv, his albums or singles always rise in sales. Perhaps, for me, not just preferences. I watched boxing when Ali was there, I watched basketball when Jordon played. When that once in a life time talent is there you just do because you must. I like neither boxing or basketball!

Well, Queen was my all time favorite band, and Adam is my favorite current singer, so I have gotten the best of both worlds. I have travelled more places than I ever thought I would, to see a performance. Adam is so versatile, that he will have so many pokers in the fire and will always remain busy. It is exactly the way he likes it, and on his own terms, otherwise he would be bored. He makes friends wherever he goes. He has perfected networking. It is not your traditional career, but in today's world you have to be versatile and have to possess the ability to assimilate into whatever environment is thrown at you, otherwise you fail. Adam will never fail. I truly believe everybody stans him in their own way, and anything he does is not equated to failure in his career, or a failure on our part as stans to connect the dots. I truly believe everything he does has purpose, and is a learning experience to be incorporated into his future endeavors. It has lead us stans to new way of thinking. I am actually beginning to feel more comfortable living out of the box, and can truly appreciate everything Adam does. I have gained an appreciation and expanded my horizons. I am forever grateful for all the people on this board and the myriad of intelligent opinions and ideas. I think your words are wise. It's disappointing when diverse opinions are discouraged with implications that people who aren't wildly enthusiastic about every single move are bad fans. Or ignorant or ageist or queen haters (lol do those even exist?). And if you want to suggest someone stfu, no need to contort so hard though I don't know why the discussion today should inspire such disapproval. My name is Iris and I, while being a QAL fan, am very ready for something more Adam-centric. Saw 5 shows in Europe in 2012, went to I Heart - loved every moment. Bought bunch (many so many) of 2014 tix - went to 4 shows and gave/sold the rest. Wasn't unhappy, was great - just had my fill. Now glamnation - don't want to say how many I saw but I was as thrilled with the last one as the first - more actually. Why? Not sure but reveled in the sheer Adamness of it all. And admiration of his designing & putting on a fab tour show on a shoestring. Am I a bad fan? My money spends as well, bought more CDs to give away than I can count. I stan Adam as a creative force. Would I still love him if he decided to spend most of his time on the Kardashian show or devoted himself exclusively to klezmer music? Yes lol. But would I watch the show or buy the music if I didn't like it? No. So maybe I am a bad fan but one thing to consider is whether fans like me - waiting nervously, eagerly for A3 and more contemporary, original music - deserve such frowning frm fellow fans? I don't mind people who wish for dif things than I do as long as Adam's success and happiness is also their ultimate goal. I was actually pleased and surprised to see a relevant but polarizing topic raised. Kudos to those willing to do so

I'm not a fan of pop music. Before Adam, I never listened. Don't know who all these artists are. Don't care. I've also never been a fan of rock and roll bands. Never owned any music by Queen. And, if I am totally honest, I am not a big fan of Adam's music on FYE and Trespassing. There, I've said it. I actually anticipate that I am not going to be in love with the music on A3 either. But, I am a HUGE HUGE fan of Adam Lambert. His voice moves me in ways that I cannot describe. His interpretations of songs are a wonder to hear and see. His personality on and off stage sparkles. He is smart, articulate, clever, humble, generous, and gracious. There is not much I would not watch if it had Adam in it - even the ridiculousness of Glee and the totally manufactured American Idol. I have greatly enjoyed this QAL era because, to me, it is a musical theater extravaganza. The music lets Adam show off his incredible voice. The Queen image lets him show off his theatrical personas. The publicity lets me see Adam talking - my second favorite thing after Adam singing. Whatever avenue Adam chooses in his career, I will be there, cheering him on. And since I am resigned to the improbability of Adam Lambert performing MY preferred type of music or theatre any time in the near future, I am fine with whatever happens next, as long as I get my Adam fixes.

If it turns out to be jazz , the best of broadway, intimate acoustic songs with a piano, bass and guitar back up (real, not electronic), or tracks from the American Song Book, I will be ecstatic. Everything I read from AToppers suggests that it will be pop, or rock, or pop/rock, with maybe some dance and funk thrown in. Meh. Not my thing. No doubt Adam will sing the shit out of it, and I will enjoy listening to that voice. The music itself, sans Adam's voice, not so much. I would love to be surprised with A3. If it happens, 3ku1, you can post "I told you so!" in large font.

I completely agree with this entire post. Personally, I couldn't care less about what Adam is doing as long as he is doing something. That something could be QAL, it could be acting on a TV show, it could be promoting a new album, heck, it could be judging American Idol. To me, the only time when being an Adam fan is boring is when there's seemingly nothing going on. It's weird to see so many people split over what they want him to do - on one hand, you have the "I loved him on Idol and with Queen, his pop music sucks and his voice is too good for it" crowd, and on the other hand, you have the "He needs to get back into pop music to make himself relevant, no pop album = no1curr" crowd. As for me, I'm in the "Yay, Adam's doing something awesome!" crowd. My stanning for the man himself is strong enough to make me care about all of his projects. Luckily, most of them have been awesome. To say that QAL is doing him no favors is plain ignorant - look at all the tweets that came in after X Factor from people who had never heard of him before but wanted to know more. Look at how his Wikipedia page exploded. QAL is something incredibly significant to add to his resume - probably moreso than "Idol contestant" and "singer of two moderately successful pop albums". I'd also like to point out that all of these seemingly insignificant "distractions" have gathered him quite an eclectic fanbase over the past 5 years - he has some classic rock fans from QAL, some teen fans from Glee and PLL, some reality TV fans from Idol, pop fans from the Trespassing era, etc. That certainly can't be a bad thing when A3 is finally released. That eclectic fanbase is something to be proud of and is probably quite rare in many ways. Also, perhaps it's a bit of a reverse situation from the Queen purists? Maybe some just don't like Queen and don't want him performing with them? Maybe just a shot in the dark.
