I've been trying to remember all our UK peeps. This is what I've got so far, but I think I'm missing people: shev66, sophieB, todt05, lilly, chameleon, justgill, Bristolgill, Nationalglampoon, fooffyschmoofer, uggybear, evie1512, tillyfilly, amourbert79, fififi, rabi096, and flowerpot, and jj (Northern Ireland).QUESTION: How did all you guys first discover Adam? Was it through American Idol? I need a history lesson, because I'm pathetically bad with dates/timelines. Maybe 4M's can help. Do we have a list anywhere of all Adam's performances and/or concerts and/or appearances in the U.K. for the past four years or so? Hasn't he made a lot of appearances? Some of them pretty high-profile? I vaguely remember 4-5 GNT concerts. And the G-A-Y/Heaven concert. I still have Scotland pics from 2010... why was he in Scotland four years ago? And of course there were the Hammersmith concerts. I'm still feeling a little confused/gobsmacked by the endless New Year's Eve tweets from people who have NEVER EVER HEARD of Adam Lambert before. I guess I can understand people who haven't seen him live, and I know his music was never played on the radio... but I thought there would have been at least a "vague knowledge" of who he was/is.Up here in the north of England, I have never found anyone who has heard of Adam Lambert, except for the few I have mentioned him too. In London in July 2012, a couple of people i know recognised the name as the guy doing a show or two at the apollo with Queen - but nothing more. He really had little/no presence, even, or especially, with my sons' generation (20s). BUT! Local village butcher asked what I was doing for NYE - told him Queen concert, didn't mention Adam. He said he'd watch as there 'was nothing much on the box' that night. Saw him yesterday - and he was thrilled with the show. He brought up the subject. Watched the whole thing and mentioned only Adam, Adam, Adam. Thought he was amazing - could have watched all night. His wife couldn't stop telling her friends about him, etc, etc. And he knew Adam's name - not just the 'singer with Queen'. it struck me that this was a microcosm of what might be happening in thousands of ways, all over the UK at the moment. The exposure was priceless - not just a song on X Factor but enough to get a real idea of what Adam is about. And on a night where, to me, Adam had clearly become the star rather than a member of the band. That's what I felt was so different about this performance when I've seen them live a good number of times - a shift in the balance..... Edit: seoulmate - how did I first get to know Adam? Over the years, I had caught short glimpses of Idol on tv but had never seen a whole programme or felt any engagement with it. I knew who Kelly Clarkson was but no one else at all. It was never high-profile here and stopped being shown altogether, a couple of years ago ( I think). One night, too full of cold to be an asset with my bridge group, I flicked through the channels and there was Adam about to audition. The timing really was like that. looking back at the footage, I can't really understand what the incredible draw was, but it was there. Who among us can say exactly what it was? So many lovely voices, so many lovely young people on these shows....but I was totally caught up with this young man immediately. The really, really, really odd thing - is that my husband felt a bit the same too! He loved classical music and Fleetwood Mac but he became very engaged with Adam's Idol journey. Adam has an inexplicable draw for some people. The least expected people only go to show how strong and unpredictable that can be. Would any of us have predicted this for ourselves?

It will have to be a top 100 - way too much to choose from.
Here are three to choose from:
Chokehold, Live at the Vineyard is stunning
Trespassing/Kickin' In - Wilkes-Barre (you lucky, lucky people who were there for THAT):
And finally, the insanely beautiful Whataya Want from Me - Acoustic - Sunrise

Thank you, SophieB for your lovely long response! So, you randomly caught a glimpse of Adam on a night when you were too sick to go to bridge! Love it! If you hadn't been sick that night, I'm thinking you might have been like your local butcher! Now I'm wondering if all the rest of our UK peeps discovered Adam the same way you did!

As always it's difficult to decide but my favorite song of Adam is "Sleepwalker" and so I chose three of my favorite performances of that song! The video from the "BRAVO" in Munich will always be something very special for me! It was the first live-video of Adam I found in the internet when I looked him up after watching his official FYE-video on Danish TV for several weeks! And the performances of SW in the other two videos are both incredibly "intense", especially at the end! WOW!!!

The bolded parts reminds me of this news clip.. the interviewer talks about why he chose Adam out of hundreds of other contestants waiting in San Francisco for the American Idol auditions to interview. www.youtube.com/watch?v=jk1J5yZAFL4
