Thank you, SophieB for your lovely long response! So, you randomly caught a glimpse of Adam on a night when you were too sick to go to bridge! Love it! If you hadn't been sick that night, I'm thinking you might have been like your local butcher! Now I'm wondering if all the rest of our UK peeps discovered Adam the same way you did! I also discovered Adam through Idol. I watched Idol from Season 2 but it was only Adam that caught my attention, although probably only from the live shows. I loved the way he made every song his own. I then lost track of Adam for a few months but then somehow heard of his radio station tour in the UK. I met him in a small station in Guildford in March 2010 and then went to the Heaven gig in April and the GNT UK concerts in Nov/Dec. I have been obsessed every since!

Nikki, I loved everything Adam performed at Live in the Vineyard. What a fabulous show...thanks for the reminder. Time to revisit it again. Just remember that it's not my fault. It's Adams'. Broken English from this concert was out of this world as well. I am really loving having a look at all the choices people are making. Some are soooooo familiar from multiple views of course, others I'd forgotten about as well. His artistry and performance consistency is staggering. lorraine, yes, I completely understand, I bet most people here would, as well. It is joy. And your secret is safe with us .

I've been trying to remember all our UK peeps. This is what I've got so far, but I think I'm missing people: shev66, sophieB, todt05, lilly, chameleon, justgill, Bristolgill, Nationalglampoon, fooffyschmoofer, uggybear, evie1512, tillyfilly, amourbert79, fififi, rabi096, and flowerpot, and jj (Northern Ireland).QUESTION: How did all you guys first discover Adam? Was it through American Idol? I need a history lesson, because I'm pathetically bad with dates/timelines. Maybe 4M's can help. Do we have a list anywhere of all Adam's performances and/or concerts and/or appearances in the U.K. for the past four years or so? Hasn't he made a lot of appearances? Some of them pretty high-profile? I vaguely remember 4-5 GNT concerts. And the G-A-Y/Heaven concert. I still have Scotland pics from 2010... why was he in Scotland four years ago? And of course there were the Hammersmith concerts. I'm still feeling a little confused/gobsmacked by the endless New Year's Eve tweets from people who have NEVER EVER HEARD of Adam Lambert before. I guess I can understand people who haven't seen him live, and I know his music was never played on the radio... but I thought there would have been at least a "vague knowledge" of who he was/is. I haven't sorted Adam's performances by country. I think I could do it, but it would take quite awhile and I don't really have the time right now. How about just GNT? 108. 2010-11-26 O2 Academy 2, Birmingham, England, United Kingdom109. 2010-11-27 O2 Academy 2, Manchester, England, United Kingdom110. 2010-11-28 O2 ABC, Glasgow, Scotland, United Kingdom111. 2010-11-29 O2 Shepherd's Bush Empire, London, England, United KingdomClick on the title and it'll take you to the playlist.

OK definitive Adam Lamber Live playlist No time to embed videos - will do later How many can I do? This is like torture 1) WWTLF IHeart 2013 entire arena swelled with his sound - tone and richness was on steroids. Oh, he looked pretty good too 2) STL Toronto I bravura performance in every sense of the word 3) TSMGO EMA That voice coming out of the dark stage - tall mysterious figure. No, not his best performance all the way through but it will always be for me that performance where I knew what was coming without a doubt. That was the night I turned to my husband (sorry those who had read this before but it gets me really emotional!) and I said, "This is it. This is the catalyst. This collaboration will change everything. 4) My Change is Gonna Come AI (GNT LA was great too) The vocals were amazing but so was the prophetic nature of that song. Idol (love it or hate) changed everything just as EMA with Queen changed everything. We just experience another of those quantum leaps with NYE. Another one of the those moments in life when everything tingles because huge forces were unleashed the ramifications of which we can't yet imagine (well, given who we are, we are pretty good at that! LOL)

To bring over from yesterday: Adam's vibrato is always controlled and it is NEVER "bad". NEVER. I can't recall one time when it bothered me. Vibrato, used correctly, is a necessary singing "tool" and again, Adam applies it appropriately. The ignorant comments by Freddie purists are just that - examples of pure and willful ignorance. There are so many vocal inadequacies in the above 1975 performance that it is truly painful to listen to. I guess it wasn't the best night for Freiddie. But the reason I posted it was that it was the only BoRap/KQ medley I could find on YT. I am sure Talon would know if and where else it'e been used and he might even know whose original idea that particular medley was. Oh, I am so glad to see you say that. I listened to it and thought it was painful, too. In fact, I couldn't listen to the whole thing. I know that later in his career Freddie's voice was supposedly blown out because of abuse, nodules, too much smoking and drinking, etc. But, on the flip side, the later live performances sounded like he was more in control of his voice than this clip. AND to the other quotes regarding this medley. This performance is the famed 1975 Hammersmith show. This show almost didn't take place AND a reason it's not always the greatest audio is that Freddie and Brian both were severely ill - suffering from the flu and they nearly had to cancel, but Freddie wouldn't hear of it. This was after a tour of multi-gig nights as well so it was a combo of tired and illness most likely. Nica thanks for the Queen video. I've never seen it. So, who thinks with me, that they are practicing 'march of the black queen' as we speak, just to add that in as well? Both Brian and Roger have made comments in recent times, that Adam can handle the complete Queen catalog, that there is nothing they cannot throw at him. I think, that both Brian and Roge are trying to challenge Adam further. And I think they might do it by bringing even more variety into their concerts, by both adding on one hand more dialed back/ story-telling kind of songs (i.e. Drowse) and on the other hand, adding material that brings even more drama, and MOTBQ certainly would deliver that in spades. It could happen. I would put that likelihood at .000000000000000000000000000000000001% If only because I think this (and maybe other time constraint - tv type gigs) is the only time you would probably hear Bo Rap in a medley format. For a full tour they will never shorten Bo Rap again. It is *THE* song people come to hear. It was done this way to fit in for time as well as probably as it wouldn't go over well on TV to have the taped middle without the special effect bells & whistles. Another medley? Possibly. That's the piece I was talking about where Freddie had really bad goat vibrato. I can't imagine anyone thinking that this sounds good even if they prefer Freddie's vibrato over Adam's. Listen to around :30, :41, :53, 1:04, etc. Adam's NEVER sounded that bad to me, even in the EMAs. Adam's vibrato is always controlled and it is NEVER "bad". It was Freddie's idea to have a "pastiche" (as he called them) of tracks. It started after the third album and pretty much went all the way through 1986. The first medley: In The Lap Of The Gods/Killer Queen/March Of The Black Queen/Bring Back That Leroy Brown Then they added Bo Rap because they had no idea how to handle the middle section live so... Bohemian Rhapsody (Opening section)/Killer Queen/March of the Black Queen/Bohemian Rhapsody (Reprise)/Bring Back That Leroy Brown After Bo Rap went full form: Killer Queen/The Millionaire Waltz/You're My Best Friend/Bring Back That Leroy Brown the next tour stayed the same just added Good Old Fashioned Loverboy in between KQ and Millionaire The next tour: Death On Two Legs/Killer Queen/Good Old Fashioned Loverboy/I'm In Love With My Car/Get Down Make Love/Millionaire Waltz/You're My Best Friend Next: Death On Two Legs/Killer Queen/Bicycle Race/I'm In Love With My Car/Get Down Make Love/You're My Best Friend They would slide Mustapha to the beginning of the medley but it would stay consistent for a few tours It would shorten to a quick - Killer Queen/I'm In Love With My Car/Get Down Make Love They got rid of the medley in 1982 but in 1984 they would come back with TWO medleys per gig: Somebody To Love/Killer Queen/Seven Seas Of Rhye/Keep Yourself Alive/Liar and then later in the gig: Stone Cold Crazy/Great King Rat/Keyboard Soolo/Guitar Solo/Brighton Rock finale They would lose the second medley in 1985 For the final Freddie tour: In The Lap Of The Gods...Revisited/Seven Seas Of Rhye/Tear It Up In 2008 they kind of did a medley in the beginning of the gigs with Surf's Up tape/hammer To Fall/Tie Your Mother Down Finally of course in 2012 with AL they did Seven Seas Of Rhye/Keep Yourself Alive/WWRY (Fast) I've always liked the medleys and thought a nice way to get a few more songs in....so I would like to see one come back...it just won't include Bo Rhap. Black Queen? Possible though I doubt it...then again if they do Drowse....*shrug* Anything is possible...

From the same New Year's Eve gig at the Upright Cabaret 2008 is "Come Home". I believe Adam wanted to sing this for the AI finale, but Kris Allen was singing a One Republic song. Adam either wasn't allowed to sing this or chose not to sing another song from the same band. I always cry when I listen to this: Adam Lambert-Come Homewww.youtube.com/watch?v=59WgQFb4kGo
