This year’s New Year’s Honours for the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual or Trans (LGBT) community, voted for by the readers of TheGayUK magazine for the heroes that have helped, supported or fought for the LGBT Community in 2014.
Thousands of people nominated and voted for 24 individuals, companies and organisations, which have contributed, to the community in eight categories.
Adam Lambert, ASDA and the Naked Rowers are just some of the big names that have won the admiration of voters. Amongst those recognised were George Montague, the self proclaimed ‘Oldest Gay In The Village’ who has just released a book about nine decades of being gay in Britain.
This is the third year that TheGayUK has run the New Year’s Recognition, deemed to be the gay New Year’s Honours, however 2014/15 is the first year in which members of the public were invited to nominate and then vote for anyone, any company or organisation they deemed to have aided the LGBT community in the previous year. Thousands of people took the opportunity to nominate and then vote on their heroes.
The eight categories are: Entertainment, Education, Community Project, Politics, Activism and Awareness, Sports, Health and Businesses.

Did I miss the results of this "List" or will it be included with the results of today's poll for live performance?????
The Adam Lists....
12.20.14 by Q3
There are a lot of Adam Lambert Top Ten Lists. The best songs, the best cover songs, the most underrated songs, etc. etc.
Some of these lists are OK but most are a bit off. Not unexpectedly, the promoted singles and the big Idol performances (Mad World) seem to top the list.
Overall, there are no listed prepared by real Adam experts. So I have decided it is time to fix this gap. And I need your help!
So nominated one song for each of these categories by posting your list in the thread. I will compile the nominations and prepare a poll to decide the real Adam Top 10's.

I'm going to bring my own shoes & they are going to be fierce. Adam Lambert
I think this is better than the Ellen Show version I previously posted. Whataya Want From Me, radio performance with Longineu
Please do not post more than 1 or 2 videos. If you wish to post urls, you can but please label them and disable them. Too many videos make the threads freeze for some people!!!

From the same New Year's Eve gig at the Upright Cabaret 2008 is "Come Home". I believe Adam wanted to sing this for the AI finale, but Kris Allen was singing a One Republic song. Adam either wasn't allowed to sing this or chose not to sing another song from the same band.
My memory wants to tell me that Adam, being the nice guy that he is, gave up his choice and let Kris have the One Republic spot. This ticked me off greatly because I knew he would have KILLED that song and at the time I thought it could have changed the way things went down. I no longer care about AI but would still love a better quality recording of him doing Come Home. And sideways related to that, didn't he do "What's Up/What's Going On' during Hollywood week but rights never cleared so it was never aired? I'd love to hear a better quality recording of that one as well.
That is not the way that episode works. It was Top 3 night. The U2 song was Simon's choice for Adam. The One Republic song was Kara & Randy's choice for Kris. Paula chose Danny's song (and it was a really bad choice! LOL)
Contestants choice, that episode was "Heartless" for Kris and "Cryin" for Adam. And we've heard Kris talk about how he chose that song & how Adam thought it was "Brilliant" and TBH, it really was. "Cryin" was the song that had the background singers from HELL! I thought it was sabotaged, they were so bad. Slezak also asked Adam about that in his post idol interview. And OFC, Adam was very sweet & blamed no one.
Adam's choice Finale night was Mad World. I always felt he should have done WLL, since Kris did Ain't No Sunshine & every other song was a ballad. WLL would have stood out and there was no way to duplicate the impact of that first Mad World.
AND to the other quotes regarding this medley. This performance is the famed 1975 Hammersmith show. This show almost didn't take place AND a reason it's not always the greatest audio is that Freddie and Brian both were severely ill - suffering from the flu and they nearly had to cancel, but Freddie wouldn't hear of it. This was after a tour of multi-gig nights as well so it was a combo of tired and illness most likely.
thank you, Talon! This definitely explains the shortness of breath and wobbliness and all the rest .... Fighting thru sickness while going on national TV! OMG! Truly The Show Must Go On!
On a slightly different tangent: Is it true that was the last BBC appearance until now? Had there been others before? I just find it hard to believe! And if it is I can see what a huge event this was not only for Adam but for B&R as well! My heart melts....
