Yes, or he can sing it with Brian on the piano. If they really going to do this one, I hope he make it his own version just like Who Wants to Live Forever. I drove a lot during the summer 2014 tour -- going from Ohio to the Northeast for shows and between shows and through Canada -- I listed to the Queen catalog while I drove and this song just leaped out at me. Then at one show (I think Boston?) 4 ATop folks including me "bumped" into Neil prior to a show and I said there was one song that I really hope to hear Adam sing and my mind froze and I could not remember the title. Neil said "Oh, I know "You Take My Breath Away". That was talked about but Adam thought it was too closely associated with Freddie." I said, "Really most people have forgotten about this beautiful song and that my bet was Freddie would want it sung." Blah blah. Neil told me to tell them (B, R & A) that. That they (B, R & A) needed to hear that. Later I had a chance to discuss it with two other people on that stage (not Adam). They both agreed it was a perfect song for him and told me to tell Adam. Right! Let me just tell security that I have to talk to Adam, let me pass! I made one attempt to get a message to Adam about this song -- but I have no idea if he ever got it. I remain hopeful. It is one on my favorite songs and I honestly had not listened to it for over 20 years. In any case, I am pleased we have some surprises ahead! Q3, thank you so so so much for sharing this story. You Take My Breath Away has got to be the single most tender, beautiful song in the entire catalog. I would definitely not mind listening to it night after night. I'm gonna post the live version that Freddie did before the release of ADATR. Just Freddie and piano. Breathtaking, no pun intended. www.youtube.com/watch?v=UBBne8R66xoAs for what I'm personally hoping for...*glances at my username*...I know there's little more than a snowball's chance in hell, but a girl can dream! Also in the realm of speculation: does anyone think Get Down, Make Love is a possibility? I'm thinking about that podcast with Neil last summer where there were whisperings of that song happening in the background.

I will take on the easy question, "Get Down, Make Love" seems unlikely to me but it is also on my Q+AL wish list. And thanks for this video -- it is lovely. While I would like to hear YTMBA done live, I actually would just be happy with more people hearing this song.

That's a pretty cool intro to the show. (need to copy the whole line as the link portion itself doesn't quite get there)

On another note, while I was perusing How to threads for Rpeura, I bumped on a post by Seoulmate and I laughed so hard my coffee ended up in all the wrong cavities. Anyway, the reason I love Soulmate so much (there are plenty, but she's so damn funny is certainly one of them). Just scroll until you find her post:) Her convo with Russ, specifically. And also, prior to reading it, you should know that she has a very rocky and turbulent relationship with Photobucket:))) adamtopia.com/thread/1589/new-adamtopiaOkay, that was pretty hilarious. Poor Community Outreach person Russ. He innocently asks, "If you have any questions or feedback on what would make your photo hosting experience better, please send it my way," and I proceed to post a bunch of angst-filled computer bashing gifs. Then Russ responds with: "If you can give me specific things that you don't like or don't work properly then I can bring it up with our product development team..." OMG. LOLOLOL And fuckitbucket is still as bad now as it was a year and a half ago.

What a class act Brian is. It seems to me that he recognizes what an exceptional artist Adam is and appreciates all that he brings to the Queen experience. I also think Brian sees the opportunity to mentor and promote Adam, helping him advance his career. I use the word "gracious" sparingly. It does not describe many people. Brian is gracious about Adam. Brian could be jealous of all the attention Adam is getting for fronting Queen. Could steer interviews towards his own reminiscences of Queen and Freddie. Could emphasize his own contributions and influence on the young singer. Could downplay Adam's many talents. Instead, he has become Adam's defender and PR advance man. Brain has deliberately shined the spotlight on Adam. Gracious. Thank you, Brian.
