Hmmm, this link is saying that they were fired. m.nzherald.co.nz/entertainment/news/article.cfm?c_id=1501119&objectid=11417884TV3 sacks X Factor judges Willy Moon and Natalia KillsTV3 has sacked Natalia Kills and Willy Moon from The X Factor after the husband and wife judges bullied a contestant on live TV last night.
Mediaworks, the owners of TV3, confirmed it had fired Kills and Moon just hours before the pair were due to feature on tonight's live elimination show.
It's understood the media company was under extreme pressure from sponsors to take action against the pair.
In a statement to 3News, Mediaworks chief executive Mark Weldon said: "Last night on X Factor both Kills and Moon made comments that were completely unacceptable.
"While the judges on X Factor are expected to provide critiques of the performances, we will not tolerate such destructive tirades from any of the judges," he said.
"Contestants put their all into this competition and they should expect to receive feedback and criticism that is professional and constructive. We no longer have confidence that Kills and Moon are the right people to perform the role of X Factor judges and they will leave the show, effective immediately."
The makers of X Factor New Zealand are under pressure after two of the show's sponsors criticised the bullying of a contestant on live TV last night and judges Stan Walker and Melanie Blatt turned on Natalia Kills and Willy Moon over the incident.
TV3 was forced to apologise after husband and wife judges Kills and Moon humiliated contestant Joe Irvine and called him "disgusting" and "creepy".
Kills accused Irvine of copying her husband, fellow judge Willy Moon, "from the hair to the suit", and said he was a "laughing stock" and made her "sick". Moon added that Irvine reminded him of a creepy killer and found his performance of Cry Me a River "cheap and absurd".kudos for swift and appropriate action. I like what they said "Contestants put their all into this competition and they should expect to receive feedback and criticism that is professional and constructive. We no longer have confidence that Kills and Moon are the right people to perform the role of X Factor judges and they will leave the show, effective immediately."

Thats from the Herald. One of NZ biggest news publciations. i'll say they have a source, and it well break soon. IF its true, not surprised. Tv 3 got a lot of heat from what they did. It was unacceptable and a mistake to hire them in the first place.

Embellishing as in exagerrating. I'm 26 so I don't have to haha. Radio Dj's check stuff like Itunes charts. And at Spotify beleive it or not they check demographics partic age ranges. So yeah its shallow but its the way it is. Pop Music is mostly targeted to younger fans. Of course age doesent matter you can listin no ones stopping you. But when it comes to Radio DJ's forming their playlists, its important. "Embellishing as in exagerrating."
Oh! So if I 'embellish/exaggerate' that I am 29yrs old when in actuality I am 60+....that doesn't constitute that I am LYING about my age? Hmm....interesting! Well....it is what it is.....life goes on!

To be honest, I've read the article about Natalia and looked up pictures of her husband, but I don't get the problem with the contestant. The contestant was wearing a suit, like a few other men on this planet. Did he imitate the husband's singing or specific signature look? I'm mystified.. Her reasoning was that he is not original. Which is a laugh coming from her. I Think she thinks he ripped off her husbands style and look. But like he diddn't rip off Frank Sinatra e.t.c. It was just a narcisstic felt rant thats all. Thanks for the explanation. I was trying to find the actual performance of the singer (Joe Irvine), to see what could have provoked such a heinous response from Natalia (but all I found is his audition - an atrocious rendition of Bohemian Rhapsody). I see that she has now been fired, along with her husband. I don't know Natalia Kills, except for having seen a picture of her with Adam, as well as some twitter exchanges between the two of them. And I also just read that she has co-written several songs for Madonna's new album. Adam liked a photo of hers in January. Hopefully, he will stay far away from the controversy surrounding her.

This maybe the worst thing that has ever happened in singing shows ever. Bet Mediaworks are regretting hiring them. Judges bullying contestents is not on disgusting. I woulden't be surprised if their labels dropped them. Maybe next time (if their is a next time) they well be a bit more humble. And not after a few hits, think your gods gift to music. This has really emphaized how one of a kind Adam is.

And according to this video, his hit is a copy of another song. www.youtube.com/watch?v=yYDEBCyatu8

I wrote this prior to the news that Natalia Kills has been fired, and I am talking about the type of dialogue and tone that people are having with each other....with that said....
Whether it is Natalia Kills against the rest of NZ or
The D&G guys against IVF, IVF children, gay marriage, and whatever else they were ranting at or
Christians against whoever
Leftwingers against whoever
and so on.....
Can we just calm the f*** down!
====================
Try to formulate thoughts in non-hostile ways, express our opinions. Instead of forcing them down someone else's throat, rather explain ourselves as necessary, and if our opinion is not understood or appreciated, then just agree to disagree and go our ways...
Do we have to respond and escalate every darn thing to WWIII? Do we have to formulate every opinion as an attack of someone? Which then, of course, results in a counter-attack of equal negative proportions.
There are lots of people I don't agree with, but I still serve them, when they are my customers. I live around them, if they are my neighbors, or run the local PTA meeting, or even are part of my own family. I don't know about your world, but mine is not so homogenous, that I don't have to do that constantly. Where has civilized dialogue gone? I am not saying, don't take action, if that is what is required, but I really find a lot of what goes down in some of these debates, absolutely disgraceful, and often eventually on both sides, not only on the one who unfortunately started it.
I wish Brian May would take his discussion on 'common decency' into the public arena, as a social debate, rather than into politics alone. I think he really has a point. Common decency is what seems to be lacking more and more. I am not really sure, where all this constant need for maximum escalation comes from. On a scale from 1 to 10, every issue needs to be escalated to 10, otherwise we have not had enough of a fight for our own side of the issue, I suppose.
The reality is, that this way we are never having any dialogue and therefore never get to understand each other or, God forbid, make any progress, instead we are just cementing in our pre-held opinions, and proudly parade our battle scars.
It's tiring and eventually people go numb and tune out.
If you can do something about an issue, go do it, though, it's just the japping that I am complaining about. Alright, rant over.....thanks for indulging me.
ETA: i.e. X-factor took action, good. Neither the hostility, in which the critiquing happened, nor a lot of mud-slinging that happened thereafter, was helpful.
