I just checked the end of the yesterday's thread and got confused...I thought Adam was added to the iHeart Pool party as a "special guest"... Was there some additional info saying that he was not going to perform there? The press release, or whatever we got, seemed to make the distinction. Performing will be...... and special guests will be..... Looks to me like he'll probably be introducing somebody again like he did for Sia. It could simply be that the "headliners" are all set and it is just easier to add "Special guest" Doesn't KTU also say, "Special Guest?" Still hoping for Ghost Town. It is Top 40, no reason for him to not sing it now! If he is singing, I would say he and Kelly Clarkson neeed to be at the beginning of the program so they can hop a plane to NYC, pronto!!

Based on the Frontier article...is it accurate for me to be thinking... ....that Adam was initially paying out of pocket for his work with the co -creators of the original version of TOH, and also Max Martin and Shellback? And that this work was before the formal announcement of him leaving RCA? Cause...I am confused. I need some help figuring out the timeline of the album creation. -Adam stated he was working with Max et al prior to WBR offering a deal, making him marketable for WBR. -Adam's formal press release about leaving RCA was in July of 2013. And, WBR offered the day after he left RCA. -He worked in Sweden during early 2014. There had to be pre work with Max/Shellback going on prior to that time. Adam was pretty quiet about stuff...but can one assume ?? that work was going on before before July 2013 while the RCA contract was being hammered out? It is midnight here...and I in my tiredness, and with an ageing brain.... I need help wrapping my brain around this. I am probably going to be embarrassed by the simplicity of the explanation. Whoever wrote the Frontier article got all their facts mixed up. Don't even pay attention. I noticed it last night, but that's how the press goes. Adam said - and we heard it in an interview directly from his mouth (although I can't remember which interview) - that WBM referred him to MM. MM doesn't work with label-less artists, he does his business with the label. Before that, when the announcement of leaving RCA wasn't released yet, he worked in LA with 2 guys - Axident and another one who's name I forget - and they wrote the song TOH together. That's when he was "unmonitored" by a label. That's the song Adam brought later to MM to hear. The writer just heard too many facts and got all , if you ask me. We know the sequence: 1. The day after Adam announced he was parting ways with RCA, WBR CALLED him. He was not signed until later. This has been mashed up in the press a lot since then. 2. Adam was an independent artist from June 2013 until he signed with WMG in late-December 2013/January 2014. > YES, Adam would have been paying for his own studio time in 2013 except when he was working on someone else's studio time -- like when he was working with Nile Rodgers. Studio time is not that expensive. > We do not know the exact date the Adam and RCA separated -- the decision would be made then a separation agreement agreed to and signed. So it is a process. It was announced a few weeks after it was final. 3. DMG/Adam were in discussion with a couple of labels and some big producers in November 2013. He was not signed to anyone then. > Max Martin/Shellback agreed to be EP for Adam entire album before he was signed to WMR WHEN Adam was signed to a major label. So it happened at the same time -- MM/S were attached to the project but not working on the project until WBR signed Adam. > WMG (the label) put up the money to pay MM/S, the writing camp, create and promote the album, etc. So MM/S would not of proceeded with anything without Adam signing with a label. > Adam played "The Original High" demo for MM/S when he pitched them to work with him. > WBR did not bring in MM/S -- DMG put this three party deal together. 4. There was some pre-work done before Adam went to Sweden. We know Adam went to Sweden with a least one song "The Original High". The other song that was already a demo before Adam went to Sweden is "Ghost Town". There was probably more but most of the album was written in Sweden in 2014. > There was one statement by WBR that all of TOH (album) was done after Adam was signed. That was not accurate because we know at least two demos pre-existed before the contracts were signed.

It seems Adam has forsaken facial foundation for tattoos. The newest one is most definitely a pattern from a dress I used to wear. I loved that pattern. All I can say is OUCH and he wears them well.

Mariah as a judge was not a great experience for Idol viewers, either. I feel in my bones that Adam would have considered being a judge a wonderful experience, because he's a positive person and he would have made it that way. He has a gift for getting along with other people and laughing and learning. Mariah had that competitive thing going with Nicki Minaj and didn't make an effort to just have fun with the whole thing.
