I don't understand the comments about about the guitar work. I've listened to it again with that in mind. Plus, it's an extremely easy guitar part--guy could probably play it while sleeping. What are people hearing that I am not? The guitar sounded a little monotone to me -- but maybe it was just my ears! Didn't matter to me a whole lot anyway, as Adam sounded incredible. Don't listen, watch. I don't think the guitar has ever been played live on this song, I'd just like the strumming movements to be somewhat in time with the sounds.

When I watch the video the audio and video aren't perfectly in sync, so that's a bit of an issue for me. He is moving his strumming hand down and up in a steady eighth note pattern but only touching the strings on some of the strums. The down and up strokes change the order that the notes sound--low notes first for the down, and high first for the up. Is that what you are noticing?

What are people hearing that I am not? I just thought the guitar was too high in the mix at the start, even more so on my TV than in the YT video, and sounded a bit discordant and a little too strident at the beginning. It seemed almost louder than the vocal for a time, but it was sorted out soon enough and didn't affect my enjoyment of the performance at all. It was awesome!

Guitar? What guitar? There was a guitar being played? When? While Adam was singing? Really?
Not only are the dancers unnecessary (didn't miss them for a second), but Adam would have had the same impact singing to a total backing track --- which it almost is anyway. From a music theory point of view, there really isn't much to the composition, but Adam proves that he can sing "Mary Had a LIttle Lamb" or the phone book and sound impressive.

Older established male stars are quick and open to appreciate Adam because he appreciates them, is respectful of them without being obsequious....but if the press ridicules and belittles their appreciation, it could be a little slower coming. It must get tiresome for them even if they are used to it and recognize it for why it is... I don't think we should encourage the making fun...we should show the same level of respect and appreciation that Adam shows. Just my humble opinion...I think that site went too far and it is "eww'y.

Yes, the audio quality and balance/mix of this performance is certainly different from the YT video, which is now at 10,980,819 views. Getting close.
