Since I haven't been able to get on the board all day, I wanted to comment about The Voice, too. Just for fun, because bridgey was complaining about the lack of quality of the contestants, I went through the clips of each one to see what I thought. When I came to Adam's clip, the difference from the very first vocal phrase was startling. It was the difference between black/white and technicolor. Between a little 1960s era hand held radio and a high end in-home stereo system. Adam's voice sounded so rich, so full, so present, so smooth, so precise. Milk chocolate, melting in my brain. As marvelous as he is, he still amazes me when I hear his voice in contrast to others. Do you know what I mean? YES, YES, YES!!!!!!!!

Finally! I know more about what is happening in Australia than in the U.S.. Another great job. I want to see the playback from this one. His voice was not only very up front, but also almost raw, without lots of reverb. And, it seemed to me that there was no backing vocal track doubling the melody on the chorus and bridge. Just Adam live. Did others hear that as well? Adam has such vocal presence and power, he really doesn't need his voice doubled. Plus, when it is doubled, it gives the appearance that Adam is perhaps lip syncing or is unable to carry the melody without help. (To those listeners who don't know Adam, of course.) I much prefer just Adam live. I thought exactly the same thing. Voice completely up front. I loved it!!!!
