hate it or love it , it was HUUUUUUUGE EXPOSURE for Ghost Town and I LOVE BRIAN AND ROGER EVEN MORE NOW I WANT TO SQUISH THEM THEY'RE SO CUTE Who's idea do you think it was to put GT on the setlist? I think it was Roger and Brian's. I don't think Adam asked to put GT on it. He was offered to sing some of his own songs when they first started touring and Adam said it was a Queen concert, so, Queen songs. And i think he still has this opinion and i think Roger and Brian talked him into singing GT. it is such a good exposure for Adam's solo stuff (was TOH available at the merchandise stand?), and i think it is a big thank you from Bri and Roger to Adam to do GT.

Wow, there's an enormous amount to catch up on from yesterday and today. Thanks to all the people who've brought in pics and vids. So far, I've only watched UP (always my first one to watch because I love Roger & Adam's voices together) and GT. Very unpopular opinion and I stress IMO - I really don't like GT in its rock incarnation at all. For me it loses the whole ethereal, haunted vibe that made me love the song in the first place and it just becomes rather dated and pedestrian 'rock', much like Lucy which is my least favourite on the album. I enjoy QAL but I think Adam is worth more than to be the greatest #notfreddie and deserves to have his own music appreciated. I'm very happy that the South American fans can be rewarded for their long wait but also relieved this is a short tour. Keeping tally of his high notes or stanning Brian's guitar playing is not my thing, I just want to have Adam promote his own music successfully. My personal feeling is that many of the fan boards (not just this one) seem to have more interest in him singing nostalgic rock than in producing the type of music he loves. I didn't mean this to be quite so negative but all the 'this is the music he should be singing' has rather got to me recently so I guess I'm kind of Queen'd out. Back to lurking....... I don't think anyone to will see this as negative - people quite naturally have their preferences. I'm pretty much of the same mind as you so I'm mostly sitting this one out. That's how it rolls, there'll be something different along soon

Thank you for this post. The disparagement of Adam's own music has been disappointing for this lurker, if not downright depressing. I didn't like this version of Ghost Town, either, for all the reasons you mentioned. Ethereal and haunting>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>dated and pedestrian. Ladies, just wanted to say you are def. not alone (key Aftermath lol) - please take some comfort that many lurkers feel the same and are looking forward w great eagerness to Adam very soon shifting back to solo artist and his own music. Adam's GT really reinvigorated my stanning - love it, love TOH. Agree w Max Martin that this album shows the different colors Adam has to offer vocally. As for pop music, simplicity, accessibility, and/ or lack of bombast does not equal inferiority. Ymmv

i will join you in your opinion .and im no "rock chick " probably the resident metalhead here , i like very little in what is "pop" music these days ,i do like GT and this just ,IMVHO , didnt work ,have listened a few time ,to try to "get " why everyone is loving it , but im sorry ,i dont get it , its not a rock song , the whole thing doesnt gel , in fact i thought it was bloody awful Haha, Lily, just open a bottle of whiskey and shoosh... You hated it, I loved it...and I am definitely a bit of a metalhead, but it's not only what I listen to...I'm very open with music. I just like what I like, it doesn't have a name... but can we all agree on Adam's arse..?? adam definitely has a very fine derriere , could stare at the pertness all night !! dinna like the word "arse" AND there,s nae whisky left , the bottles empty , an its still bloody awful why is there no a smillie that sticks its tongue oot !

That's how it rolls, there'll be something different along soon I was sitting this out too, but will put my 2 cents in. I really want to love this version of GT, and maybe it will grow on me, but after listening three times last night, I found myself hoping that it will improve after they've performed it a couple more times. I did like Brian's guitar and thought that was brilliant, but to me the arrangement seemed to emphasize the repetitive nature of the tune and lyrics. In the original version that (the repetition) is mitigated by the way the song builds throughout. I liked the bit of vocal jamming Adam did towards the end. I realize it is terrific exposure for Adam and GT, and maybe now that they're past first-night jitters I'll like the next performance more.

She could just buff him and apply fake tan.... Do his nail polish and hand him his shades, big job really..
