I was just trying to not jump to a conclusion for a change. I decided to read the article, which is about Idol winner David Cook. How does this relate to Adam? Cook has a cover of Wicked Games. Is this song making a comeback? I like it--very different cover. It is a great song -- and many people cover it. David Cook has been singing this in concert for several years -- at least since 2008.

Cassie and bridgeymah, here is the download link to the stems! Make sure you download as a ZIP file! www.dropbox.com/sh/yaunsnmh4tr1y57/AAAs5sFwLlI9IyxO2YkkPRKza?dl=0For anyone still wondering what stems are:
Do you remember that What Do You Mean/Ghost Town remix that Adam shared? You may remember that the remixer actually layered the whistle tune over Bieber's song. It would have been impossible to do this using the original Ghost Town track, because in the original GT track, there's also a deep house beat under the whistle. So how did this remixer get the whistle tune alone? (Did he whistle it himself? LOL.) The answer is, he used a stem. Basically, a stem is like a single track that was created in the studio. You may think of it as the recording of one instrument. So perhaps, a vocal stem + a bass drum stem + a hi-hat stem + a piano stem = the song. But in modern music, there's alot more than just a few stems. For example, in ALN, there are a total of 6 vocal stems, and 13 other instrumental stems. When played at all once, they basically play ALN as you hear it. Usually, stems don't make it out of the studio. But they are given to remixers to be used in their remixes. You can imagine that remixers would be more efficient with the individual vocal and instrumental tracks, as they have more to play around with. Usually, they are never released to the public and are only exclusively given to these remixers, due to intellectual property reasons. However, once in a while, artists and their labels do launch public remixing competitions like this one, and hence put the stems of the song online for all to listen to and use. Now, just in case you're wondering, no, Warner and RCA have not released any other stems of Adam's older songs. So how did that guy who mashed up Bieber and Adam get hold of the whistle stem in GT? Simple, Warner Music gave it exclusively to him to use it in his mashup -- for promotional purposes OOooooo. Thanks.

I like Davis's version but I must say the phrasing at the especially at the beginning really changes the vibe of the song for me. compare and contrast

Weeeeellllll, considering all the clothes from Glee were just auctioned off, there ought to be someone out there that can tell exactly what his sizes are. J/s Ridiculous as it is, he still gets hammered as being fat. Obviously was not the case during Idol or at any time since. He, like the rest of us may flucuate a bit but he has never been remotely close to fat. That is just a slam when they really have nothing to criticize. Haters gonna hate. Just curious, who says he's fat? Haven't heard anything like that for few years? Still see it in comments on photos and articles.

I was listening to Pandora a few months ago and heard it and it was almost exactly like his (without his voice of course)... Let me see if I can find it again. I posted a vid of it at the time... EDIT - Found it again: www.youtube.com/watch?v=24dG4m8ym_g

I still see it in comments as well, but not as often, since he's been running the Hollywood hills and got a trainer. However, I don't think Adam has been anything close to fat since he's been in the public eye on American Idol. He was hefty in his High School days and he has talked about that period in his life. Lots of kids go through phases during their teens. He's been trim most of his adult life--and more importantly, he seems healthy. When I met him at the M&G in Del Mar,he was this tall, thin guy with a smile to pierce your heart....
Just a note about whom Adam might be referring to when he sings about "that first time" and "medication running through my veins" all my instincts tell me it must have been Brad. When he sang that heart wrenching love song---you all know the one---at the Upright Cabaret that night before he was on Idol, he wiped his eye at the end of the song, and he's either the greatest actor since Olivier or he was emoting all his aching pain and loss. Made me want to hold him and tell him that it would all be okay and that many bright stars were ahead for him in the universe---the very things I would say to my son when he was lamenting a lost love. But of course I'm just surmising, because only Adam knows....

Just curious, who says he's fat? Haven't heard anything like that for few years? Still see it in comments on photos and articles. It is pretty much an Idol-era troll tradition now. No chance anyone really thinks he is fat now. ***** New thread is up.
