[....]
The halftime show seems to do best with sexy women singers and very masculine male ones. After all, the Super Bowl is stereotypically a "guy" thing. Bruce Springsteen, Bruno Mars, etc. are real "guys." Kind of urban tough. And women in skimpy outfits hopping around seem to do well, too. As much as I'd love to see QAL up there killing it with uber talent and great songs, I'm not sure it's the greatest fit. BUT, if they get the chance, I say GO for it.
Well, I have got no objections whatsoever to getting our very masculine Adam in a skimpy outfit hopping around singing Queen songs. I guess they'll just have to listen to me a bit more often. Yikes, I don't find Bruno Mars urban tough at all. He's so small I think I can beat him up.

There you go right there. Queen has absolutely nothing to prove, are British and probably don't like American football, and wouldn't get paid. Why on earth would they even consider playing the Super Bowl. It's totally better to get all the money from the commercials.

Well, I'm pretty sure I saw one of the Queen official Twitter accounts tweeting the link to a petition for them to play.

Been thinking about Adam rehearsing/laying down the track of "Hot Patootie" today and ran across Meatloaf talking about his role and all that went into it. In Part 1, he describes the song and how he was able to sing all the words when the guy who wrote it said it wasn't possible to articulate them all. Made me wonder if/how Adam would handle the wordiness of the song. In Part 2 of this interview, Meatloaf discusses all the many problems of filming him riding the real/old/heavy motorcycle. I've been wondering if Adam would have to try and handle a real motorcycle....would have a stunt double like Meatloaf had, etc. Since 1975, I'm sure filming has improved greatly with CGI filming, etc. Meatloaf tells about bursting thru the wall on a real motorcycle and all the hazards of maneuvering on that ramp.

"...it took crooning with Tony Bennett and singing Julie Andrews at the Oscars for the rest of the world to catch on to the transgressive powers of her talents." Truth!!! I just now watched Gaga's performance and I think she absolutely killed it!!! She made it her own but didn't stray too far from the original. Loved it. I really like her voice. She's my favorite amongst all the current female pop singers and I'm thrilled about her transformation.
