I felt the same way. I guess if you are are Gaga or Beyonce fan or big fan of the pop ladies it was good for you. But I was interested in Adam and Queen as they don't get as much US tv time. Some of the headlines about the interview even had Gaga in them. I am pretty sure Adam did not go on to give her more promo as she/Beyonce don't need it. He went there to promote Queen and himself. But still happy to see him getting a lot of tv and print. Hopefully this will be the last time they try to make his interview about the S/B You guys!!! There are 2 parts to the interview! Part one is all about Adam and Queen. Part 2, they ask about Gaga and the Super bowl! That whole show was about the Superbowl! It was the main theme! IDEK how Adam's management managed to get him on there, with the Super Bowl being their BIG story! And even during the Gaga talk they got great stuff from Adam. They even got Pharaoh info in there! I LOVED the whole thing! Yeah this, I enjoyed the interview. Thought it was well balanced.

I LOVED the whole thing! I agree! I loved that people could see and listen to Adam talk and he didn't have to be in the 'rock star' mode. And his talk about Pharaoh...who wouldn't melt listening to him?! Aww...the love of his life right now! It's a win/win for me!

Good points by and agree with craazyforadam and pattihum. Lots to gain from this exposure, big picture is good.
Would also listen to him talk about anything, just hearing the voice is a balm for the soul.

I hope, those that were disappointed with the Access Hollywood interview here realize that there are two parts. One part is entirely about Adam (and Queen, of course) and the other is second half Adam, and so only about 1/4 of the whole interview is Gaga related. Given the timing with the game this Sunday, the connection that Adam has in various ways to Gaga, I thought this was just chit chat about a cultural topic that was current and allowed Adam to take it where he wanted to go with it. If you require an interview to be about QAL and Adam only, then journalists would ask a question about this only and then cut the interview off. How sad that would be. Instead, a question about Gaga tells you and any other listener a lot about Adam too. 1) He could have stated / corrected how his relationship with Gaga was, given that the interviewer got it wrong. He chose not to waste his time on that, but rather leave the mis-conception. 2) You see how good he is at answering the question he wants to answer, not directly the one asked. A skill that public figures need to have, but I always find it amazing how Adam is able to sidestep a potential problem by responding indirectly. He is very quick on his feet that way and it helps him come across as suave and personal, and friendly and everything good, no matter what. 3) They went through some possible song choices for Gaga at HT-show. You saw Adam's evalutation process on how to pick songs for such an event. I thought that was insightful. 4) For any person that does not observe Adam all the time, this kind of chit chat also tells them something about Adam, puts him into that A-league of people, who have (at least so it seems in the interview) access to people like Gaga. That is great for Adam, publicity-wise. It presented him as having a great place within the industry. We just talked in previous posts about Alison. If she were given an interview, she would surely not be presented as belonging into that league. That's the difference. It's all good for Adam. I think it is important to keep the bigger picture in mind, be thankful that Adam is considered in this interview as A-league, and just enjoy the remaining 3/4 of the interview, if we really need to hear about Adam only. I for my part love to hear Adam talk about something else too, whatever it may be, even if it is not a topic I particularly care about. To paraphrase Randy: he could recite the phone book and I would listen with interest. I agree and you words were expressed so much better than I could have ever said!

Although someone said people are talking about Gaga like it's big news, absolutely no one in my circle of family, friends, or co-workers has mentioned Gaga and I doubt they care. Her last album flopped and sorry I did not like that repetitive million reasons song that Adam liked. IMO, Adam has very little connection with Gaga, a song six years ago and no they did NOT tour together, they did one song in one show. The interviewers acted like fangirls of Gaga trying to grasp any tidbit of info about her. I felt it was disrespectful to Adam. I was so turned off by those interviewers I won't bother watching the other segment. There are two parts to the interview! The first part is more about him and Queen. Don't know why the other part is more available!

I think Adam has to be able to read music - it's kind of the backbone to singing in any choir, from a children's chorus to high school to participating in a group sing of "The Messiah". But it's probably not a necessary skill for him, once he's heard the part. I took piano lessons as a child, and started singing in a church choir, first time singing, in my 50s. I really rely on my sheet music, which is mostly classically oriented with Bach, Beethoven, Rutter. I sing alto, so that's not typically the melody line, and I sit next to the bass section, so I have to tune out what my ears hear, and find the notes through reading the score. So, part of reading the score is to look at the printed note and have it translate to your brain. My brain works that way. But, I've noticed many people in the choir, who also sing in other community choirs, don't operate that way. They want to find a note from musical cues, and ask, how do I find my starting note? Is it the same note that the tenors left off on? Same note as the organ? A step above? What part of the chord? The choir master always comes back with an answer, which is meaningless to me, unless it helps them find the note, and we can get through the rehearsal on time.
