Weekend Open Discussion 7.28.18 - 7.29.18 by Q3 Adam appears to be working on his new music and also taking some personal time. So, while it is nice he is still entertaining us, albeit with crazy hair and painting parties, I am mostly interested in new music and real news.
Since there is no new, I have opened up the weekend discussion to any topic EXCEPT politics -- and you know what I mean. So post about music you love, your summer vacation, personal news, fashion tips, your favorite recipe, how to stay cool, or ever the weather....
Crazy Hair Day!Tucson Weather 7.28.18 by Q3
The big news in my life is that I am surviving my first monsoon season in Arizona since I left in 1994. And after two weeks of scorching heat -- not quite Phoenix but we've been close or over 110 degrees in the shade for over a week -- we're getting a coldish spell. (Anyone who does not believe in global warming is welcome to visit me in Tucson were it is clearly hotter than ever.)
I have lived places where it's easy to forget about the weather -- like Malibu, California -- because it is always pretty pleasant. And I have lived places were weather is news worthy (South Florida where weather has names). But in the desert hot season, the heat is ever present. Like something that is a living thing.
So why am I posting about the weather -- because I am going slightly mad and I am not sure if it is from the heat or lack of Adam news. I don't think it is the heat!
Have a wonderful weekend. I plan to take advantage of this cool spell and go for an early morning hike.

Bringing over from yesterday: A couple of weeks ago I mentioned that for the two 2018 London O2 shows we have a HQ audio that was recorded from an ALS (Assistant Listening Device). This audio basically comes directly from the soundboard. The vocals are very clear, but there is very little audience noise and thus lacks some of the ambience of a live concert. The Queen fan who has been splitting my audio has joined this ALS audio with my live recording which contains lots of audience noise. We think that the result is better than either of the two individual audio recordings. We are just waiting on the person who recorded the ALS audio to approve the joined recording before we release it. But he has been very busy with work, so it may be a while yet.
So, what I am going to do is each day post links to 3 audio files for the same song, one from each of the 2 recordings and one from the joined recordings. I'm not going to tell you which is which - they will be marked "A", "B", & "C" and it will change daily. I'm also not going to tell you which O2 concert the files are from. What I want from you all is to give me feed back on what you think of each recording. Please include which you like best and second and why, and if listening on a PC or Smartphone, on speakers or headphones, etc. My feelings will not be hurt by any negative feedback on the audio. We are looking for honest feedback so that we can make the processed recordings better.
This will start on Sunday. I am now taking votes on which song to start with! Voting will end Saturday night about 10 pm est. You can vote on more than 1 song. I will post the songs in order of most votes!
P.S. He also has ALS recordings for the 2017 O2 concerts and possibly for the 2015 concerts. So, your feedback now will help us with these!

Just a little open discussion about Chicago's Lollapalooza festival that takes place August 2-5 on our beautiful lakefront. The festival originally moved around to different cities, but it has found a home in Chicago and has been here for a while. This year, as always, it features some big names like Bruno Mars and The Weeknd. I think Paul McCartney performed last year. There is a nice mix of well-known performers and lesser known artists who are lucky to get the chance. If you're in the area, you might want to check it out. Yes, it's pricey. You can get tickets for the whole weekend or just a specific day. It's a perfect setting for an event like this. Big city, gorgeous lakefront, spectacular views. Adam would be a good fit for Lolla. Maybe he'll get his chance sometime, too.
BTW, it sounds like he is really working on new music! Is it my imagination, or does it seem like he's kind of started from scratch a few times? Seems like months ago he was "almost done" but apparently not. I suspect he's changed his approach and few times. Has some new writers, etc. Hope it all results in great album with some HITS!
