This was a show with some Voice contestants, right? Alisan and some others? Must not have been enough interest or backing to put it on or something. Am I right in remembering that there is an Idol tour this summer? I know they stopped doing them for a while but I thought there was going to be one this time because it was the "new" Idol. Haven't heard anything about it. I remember going to the Idol show for S8. The venue was CRAZY for Adam. When it was his turn, the place went manic! Someone bought the theater TV contestants were to perform in. They decided to renovate the place so they had to cancel. The Idol tour is going on now and playing to 800 seat to 2K venues. HA! Kris Allen is touring with the contestants and he said he wished a former Idol had toured with them in S8. LOL! Of course you do then it would not have looked as bad when Adam stole the show from the winner night after night and that was all the press could talk about. I think he is still suffering from PTS cause even in this interview he can't resist bringing up Adam when there is no Adam involved with this tour. www.vcstar.com/story/news/local/2018/07/31/american-idol-winners-come-thousand-oaks/824032002/'American Idol' Season 8 winner Kris Allen joins Season 16's top 7 in Thousand OaksIt also revealed how invested some fans become, he said. When he beat out Adam Lambert, he experienced some crazy fallout and said some people were downright nasty. “There were people who latched on to me, and there were people who latched on to him, but the funny thing is, behind the scenes, we were roommates and good friends,” Allen said. “People were mad at me that I won.” At the time, Allen said, he believed Lambert should have won because Lambert was the most consistent performer throughout the show. “And obviously his talent is otherworldly. But it’s not my fault that I won,” Allen said with a laugh. “And when we went out on a tour, some people were rude to my face and it just never made sense to me. Now, we’re nine years down the road and there’s room in the industry for both of us.” Too bad about the venue for The Voice alums. It certainly wasn't their fault. Maybe it will work out in another place. As for the Idol tour, I guess they're giving it another go. It sure doesn't generate the buzz that it used to. I feel a little sorry for Kris. Honestly, things would have been easier for him if he had come in second. I think he's a nice, talented guy. And he and Adam liked each other as friends, too. I hate it when "fans" are rude to someone like that. Kris had no control over the voting. Interesting that he feels compelled to say, "It's not my fault that I won." When I saw the S8 Idol tour in Chicago, it was obvious Adam was the favorite. Each contestant, of course, performed in the order that they ended up in the competition. BUT (and I heard this happened in some other venues, too), when Adam's act was finished, many people started leaving before Kris actually got started. My sister and I did NOT leave. We watched Kris and enjoyed him. But apparently lots of people saw who they wanted to see and headed out. It's not a very nice thing to do. I hope this year's tour is getting some decent audiences. I do not remember who won.

OT.....hate to hear that Alisan's gig in Vegas didn't pan out. Yep, I saw the Idol tour in 08 too in Madison, WI and the place went nuts every time Adams face came on the screen. He was second to last to perform and of course Kris was last. I remember so many of the crowd started to leave after Adam performed which was sad for Kris. Adam even had more people screaming for him than Gokey who is from WI. Just goes to show that Adam was the vote getter so something fishy must of happened during the final vote. I still believe that!

Just don’t click through his link to his bio 🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄 his PR people suck donkey balls. Well that's something that can be fixed. I don't remember him being mentioned much in US Mag before? I do think playing up being a celebrity is a winning strategy and I'm happy to see him in main stream USA magazines. - come on People etc.

I do not remember who won. Kris was my son's favorite that year, I think the only year his favorite won. They didn't come near enough for us to go and I was still and underground stan for Adam. We would certainly have stayed for Kris too.. I'm still on Kris' mailing list. I should buy some of his new music. I'm sure he didn't bring up Adam in current tour interviews just like Adam didn't bring up gay-gay all the time. That's on the interviewer.

Kris is still relevant? . I wonder when well hear about new music? Maybe this month? TBA. I think key well be promotional strategy. The management he signed seems pretty agressive style. Which may suit Adam. I think streaming should be the focus.

Audio Game - Day 3 Song: The Show Must Go OnPlease give the following feedback in the thread: 1) Which version do you like best & 2nd best? And why? A ....#1...so clear, every nuance of the notes and variations/ inflections of words was so clear...out of this world to actually hear the variations in how he sings the notes. C...#2...v good but varied, the early part sounded soft/ no punch. The later part of the song had more clarity to notes similar to A but still not as crystal clear. B...#3....really not in the same league as the other recordings ...muffly/ muddy 2) Which format did you listen to, FLAC, M4A, or MP3? As per below the M4A 3) Did you listen on a PC or on a Smartphone? On my ipad...no need to go to my new PC as I had to yesterday. A was far and away my fav. 4) Did you listen using speakers, headphones or earbuds? If speakers, was it the speaker on the PC or a better speaker? No special speakers, regular ipad speaker. M4A - Play and/or DownloadThe Show Must Go On - AThe Show Must Go On - BThe Show Must Go On - C

If speakers, was it the speaker on the PC or a better speaker? If you want to guess which recording is mine, Nick's, or the mix, please send that to me in a PM. I'd like to get everyone's reaction to the recordings before saying which recording is which. M4A - Play and/or DownloadThe Show Must Go On - AThe Show Must Go On - BThe Show Must Go On - C 1) A version - LOVED it. Adam's vocals crisp & clear. Second best is B - The instruments can be heard better. C- I didn't like. Too much echo or feedback? vocals too far away. 2) M4A 3) On a PC 4) Headphones - top quality ones.
