He was obviously sad/heartbroken yesterday. First there were the tweets and at the performance you can see it in his face.....no smiles. I feel for him, but glad he was able to pour his feelings into WWTLF.
Hopefully he'll have fun and enjoy next week's event in San Diego.

Just to put things in perspective. Pattihum tweeted Yes, Adam got a standing ovation. But this was an audience of performers, for performers. EVERYONE got a standing ovation! 😂
Of course we know Adam was deserving of a standing O. 👏👏 and was graciously given one. If you see the mini clip of Ledisi---those in front rows stood well before she even finished. Obviously the patrons were very supportive of the artists who performed as per Pattihum.
The sublte and not so subtle changes and diff tempo caught my immediate attention. The change for the more intimate setting was very thoughtfully performed. Bravo Adam! ARTISTRY! I must admit --when in a big setting with QAL...I really love the bombastic nature of it all. 🔥🌟✨🔥

I am writing this through tears of joy and AWE! Adam is worthy of every superlative out there. He has sung that song hundreds of times, and it always feels like the first time. He FEELS it every single time. I'm so glad he chose this song. It connects so strongly with what has happened in the past week. It's a perfect expression of tragedy and sorrow.
And he sung it better than anyone else in the world could have. He really owns that song now, IMO
And I love knowing that he sang it in a roomful of big stars, knowing that many of them have never heard him sing at all. What an introduction to a vocal genius!
And yes, I would love to know what was said about him when he was introduced. My heart is so full!

This is my favorite Queen song, and like you said, Adam owns this song now. Every time I hear him sing it, I have chills and am brought to tears, and like you, it always feels like I'm hearing it for the first time. This was such a heartfelt version, and I am so very proud of our guy! Vocal genius indeed! I'm finally going to have the opportunity to see BoRhap this weekend. The review in our Albuquerque local paper gave it the highest rating of four stars. The reviewer was from the Tribune News Service. Called it "A Champion Film", and says "Bohemian Rhapsody proves the laws of physics that say energy can't be created or destroyed are wrong. Sparked by the performance by Rami Malek and the amazing music of Queen, this movie generates a massive amount of creative energy." Just can't wait to see it, and my DH even wants to see it too!

So grateful to Patti! IMO, this is not performed as a rock ballad. This is pure musical theater veering toward opera. So special to hear/see him flex those muscles. Cassie, Please explain the difference for those of use who do not know. Love and appreciate all of your explanations!
