Coming back for a quick comment. Several years ago, when TOH album came out, we had a new poster, a 'friend' of Adam's or RCA, who posted frequently for about a month - mostly about how the 'older' Adam fans were sabotaging Adam's chances at success by attending the radio shows and interviews when this album was released. This poster made a good case; albeit a controversial one; and ended up deeply hurting the feelings and sensibilities of many long-time fans . . . and then, he or she disappeared. Madmax, I don't know if you're like the poster above, who flew in and flew out, but I do take issue with someone who arrives on this site, after nine years, with a pedigree that states from the beginning that you possess an insight to Adam the rest of us lack. And, that this insight allows you to suggest to the rest of us what is intrusive and what is not. Way to go Mom Way to turn away anyone new from posting... IMHO

Not my intention at all. My feelings - and one of the first postings I've put out here in a year.

That’s why I suggested the member‘s only thread in the first place. I think, we should feel free to discuss Adam and his doings, but we should be careful as well. And I wouldn’t be fond of it, because I don’t want to read in several threads. Maybe someone has a solution. Now I really need to sleep. Good Night! There are issues in general with the members only. It's mostly just so web crawlers don't bring it up on a google search but it does nothing to stop spreading news or rumors. We have over 2000 members who can see the members only areas, with new members joining daily. When those areas are busy there is a constant "I posted in such and such thread go read it" and the occasional link to the thread that mods try to delete before non-members gain access. So encouraging folks to post there what they wouldn't post in the open IMO just opens it up to postings that are even more intrusive because of the perceived but not actual privacy. I believe in the good sense of members. If you hesitate to post it in the open here where it can be searched by google for eternity, hesitate a bit longer. It can be fun being the first to know but last to post. When I think someone else posted something that I think really shouldn't be out there then I often go to PM and tell them my concerns with suggestions on how to edit or delete. Just because someone posted doesn't mean they can't go back and change it. Of course timing is always an issue and they may not be there or may disagree, in which case there's always the notify a moderator button. So whether to post or not after you've hesitated and still want to? That's a whole discussion with pros and cons from icky intrusive to that's why you don't date youngsters if they aren't ready to handle the onslaught. But if we ever do go to multiple threads I use the Most Recent Posts function anyway (found at the bottom of the main page and bookmarked) so it never matters to me, I see everything, albeit in backwards order, often with lots of fan art, tweet threads, instagram threads, and other historical chronicling throw in.

When I graduated from college, I was an adult who made my own decisions. But veiled accusations (as if it is a game and not harmful) and excuses/justifications for overly intrusive behavior is not on Adam but on the people engaging in it.

Way to turn away anyone new from posting... IMHO Why? There's a whole difference between joining a conversation and berating people who are already having a conversation. If someone wants to rant there's a whole world out there with facebook posts, their own blog, extra long twitter. But to come in an do it the first week when trying to join a community? That means "join" is not the verb they were looking for. I'm not looking for clones but I am looking for those with good intent toward that community. Now I could give two flips about the conversation itself but if the plan is to come and piss people off, including those like me who were scrolling, then I've got an issue, and if it wasn't a plan but just bad writing/expression then I'd expect some indication that they didn't mean to pull the fire alarm.

Well, I'm just going to wish everybody a Happy Thanksgiving tomorrow and off to watch some Adam videos. I've started losing the thread of the original conversation lol, and now it appears everybody is just offended by everybody else.
I need the Adam videos to put me in the right frame of mind for spending the day with family tomorrow. Not that I don't like them, but as an introvert, spending hours of conversation is simply exhausting. I'll need 3 days just to recover from an afternoon of visiting.
See you guys later !

To explain "feeling better", several weeks ago I was involved in a car accident and was t-boned in my car. I managed to break my neck and get a concussion. Nearly a week in the hospital. The only good thing was the top 2 bones in my neck were broken which didn't require surgery, only a collar.
Nothing will ever upset me because it could have been so much worse.
Have a Happy Thanksgiving to everyone and to our dear Adam. (I hope Adam is in Portland visiting Neil so I can say that I am breathing the same air!)

I think we need to table this discussion for the time being, perhaps everyone can take a deep breath and allow Q3 to weigh in. If you have any additional thoughts you can send them to her.
and for what it’s worth, new members are important to this board. It adds a new dynamic to hear a different perspective. Let’s wait until we hear from our Admin.
