Music-News.com @musicnewsweb Music-News.com Adam Lambert: 'Queen work doesn't impact my solo career' dlvr.it/Qs0NBs Adam Lambert has insisted his work with Queen isn't hindering his solo work. Since 2011, the American Idol runner-up has sung alongside British music legends Brian May and Roger Taylor for gigs all around the world. As he hasn't released a new album since 2015's The Original High, some fans are worried his Queen duties have stopped him getting in the studio by himself, but he promises that's not the case. "I've never felt like working with Queen has put any sort of a damper on my solo work. I don't feel as though we can compete with each other. I think that actually, they have coexisted very well, timing wise," he shrugged to Schon Magazine! "The collaboration with Queen is little chunks of time that I go on the road with them, and then I'm done so it's left me plenty of time to sort of flip-flop into my solo career." Luckily, his loyal following won't have much longer to wait for new music, as Adam has been busy putting the finishing touches to his new, as yet untitled, fourth album. Sporting a brand new look of long, flowing hair in the accompanying Schon photoshoot, the 36-year-old has also teased a fresh sound too. "I didn't know exactly what I wanted to do for a minute, as far as my solo career. Now, I've explored some new sounds and some new concepts and I'm on the course to put something out, but it took a second to discover that for myself, for this project," he shared. "I was just waiting to catch a certain inspiration, you know what I mean? I was really digging, trying to find some authenticity. The most authentic sound and style that I could." twitter.com/talkmusic/status/1066305452701450240

He liked the way Freddie performed it with such flair maybe and something a little different? I don't think I had seen that before.

What we know so far about Adam Lambert's new solo studio album
Today (November 24) is the 9th anniversary of the release of Adam Lambert's For Your Entertainment, so let's take a look at what we know about his upcoming fourth studio album so far.
Along with all of his solo projects, the dulcet-toned superstar has also been collaborating with the legendary rock band Queen, and recently just finished a successful world tour with them as the lead vocalist, so fans are expecting a new album out in the near future.
His previous album The Original High was released in 2015, and in 2016 he announced that he had commenced the creative process for its follow-up, saying:
"The plan is still being concocted and is unfolding, so we don't really know. It's all kind of still spinning around.
"It's only now that I'm starting to go, 'Where do I want to go next, sound-wise?' But I haven't gotten close enough to the process yet. I think I'll start working on stuff in the Fall."
In October 2016, Lambert announced: "Had a great time creating some new songs this week in London. Chapter 4 on the distant horizon..."
In December 2016 he revealed: "There will be some surprises and some freshness to bring.”
2017 was kicked off with this awesome message: "I have just begun on some new music in the past couple weeks."
In June of that year, he released Two Fux and premiered the track on Jimmy Kimmel Live!
This year (2018) Lambert quenched his fans' appetite by announcing he plans to tour his new music soon, and that "the fans have been waiting long enough, and so have I!
"I’ve really been trying to explore what I want the sound and subject matter to be."
In May 2018, the vocal powerhouse signed a new management deal with Phil McIntyre's company, Philymack and revealed:
"Obviously Queen really inspired me. I don’t think this album is genre-specific. I think there are a lot of different influences on it. There’s rock, there’s FUNK, there’s soul, there’s disco, Seventies singer-songwriter pop and some Eighties flavours, too. That being said, there are a lot of modern influences as well, so it’s sort of a fusion."
This month (November), he told Schon Magazine: "I’m still working on it, but I’m definitely getting there.
“There are some incredible songs that I’m really proud of and I can’t wait to share them with the world.”
With the end of the year upon us, we think it's safe to say that fans can now get excited about a 2019 solo album release from Pressparty's 2012 King and Queen of the Year.

I tried to get 3 tickets for Bohemian Rhapsody for my visiting daughter, granddaughter and myself for an AMC (all reserved seats) show yesterday afternoon but all seats except for wheelchair access were sold out for all shows. I was happy for the movie doing so well but kind of sad for myself. I may just go by myself to a matinee in the afternoon next week. Most people will be back at work by then.

Big thumbs up on Adams choice of words! How can I not immediately think of the one and only who keeps Freddie's spirit alive #twirling #belting
