BR took in $5,220,000 yesterday (Friday), which is 21% more than last Friday despite being played in 883 less theaters! the US published total is at $143,379,253 atm ...waiting for the international update, itās several days behind... I really think $500 Mil by Monday will happen! www.boxofficemojo.com/movies/?page=main&id=bohemianrhapsody.htmI decided to take a quick look at the performance of the "Bohemian Rhapsody" movie in the first 22 days vs. "Straight Outta Compton" and "A Star Is Born" in their first 50 days (as ASIB just reached 50 days from its release): As you can see, SOC started at higher levels but quickly plateaued out. Today, 3 weeks after release, BoRhap passed SOC's domestic box office for the first time. ASIB generally started lower, but had a similar "staying power" (no pun intended, Queen fans) as BoRhap. It passed SOC after 25 days. So we can safely assume that BoRhap will eventually pass SOC's $161,197,785 as the highest grossing musical biopic. If ASIB is any indication, this should happen sometime next week - ASIB passed SOC after exactly 30 days, but BoRhap is ahead by a few millions at this point, and has a Thanksgiving Long Weekend left to report...

Thank you for posting this. I was wondering how these three movies compared.

Very nice chart kryptoman68! I think Walk the Line was in second place for musical biopic before BR passed it. Fingers crossed that BR moves into 1st place domestically. I believe they have already passed SOC, ASIB and WTL internationally. They are doing great.

SOC did pretty bad in foreign countries (from US perspective) and ASIB isn't nearly as succesfull in the rest of the world as it is in the US.
