Ok, I posted on last night's thread which is now kind of over, so I'll ask again here: Didn't the movie primarily use Freddie's own voice for most of the singing? And a LITTLE of Marc's voice for some of it? That's how I understood it, anyway. But Marc's fan are thinking that it was Marc's voice for the whole thing? I don't think so. I posted on the last thread that I thought the Marc/Adam/Rami thing is a matter of fan loyalty and quite a bit of not facing reality. Of the three artists, none of them could do the others' job. Each has his own role to play in the whole Freddie thing. Marc fans want Marc to tour with Queen. Ain't gonna happen. The thought is creepy and wrong. Adam could never play Freddie the film. No way. Rami's not a singer. Period. Fans really get twisted out of shape when they feel their favorite performer is not being respected. I know we Adam fans feel that way at times and we say so! I do feel, though, that a brief mention of Adam by Rami would have been nice. Rami has seen QAL perform. He knows Adam's talent. Adam has praised Rami quite generously. I think a mention in return would have been a classy thing to do. Rami seems like a nice guy, and this role is a huge stepping stone for him. Just wish Adam's major role as the actual front man for Queen could have been on Rami's radar for just a moment or two. Brian and Roger could have picked Marc to front Queen a long time ago if they had wanted him. Not sure why that is so hard of MM fans to understand. B & R have the frontman they want and it does not matter if some don't like it. I really think it would have been out of place for Rami to bring up Adam in the little time he had on stage. There were probably so many people associated with the film that he did not have enough time to put in his speech that it would have been odd to suddenly acknowledge Adam. Acknowledge him for what? Fronting Queen now? The evening was about Freddie's time fronting Queen and their rise together. Brian and Roger praise Adam all the time in interviews that relate to QAL. If Rami is interviewed about QAL, I would bet he would have nice things to say about Adam. But this is his time and his work and his accomplishment so he and the movie deserve to be the center of attention right now, imo.

Brian answered someone on his instagram and said the Live Aid part was all Freddie. I personally think the only parts that were Marc are the Happy Birthday, Love of My Life and Smile audition, I'm pretty sure the rest is Freddie. Marc's fans knew he filmed for four weeks at Abbey Rd so they assume he did most of the vocals and I think he did a lot more than ended up in the film tbh. Brian more or less said they went in and were sound editing up until leaving for the tour and they left the rest to the sound guys as they ran out of time so it sounds like they re-did a lot of it with Freddie's vocals. Judging from the Live Aid part I suspect they might have clipped bits from a different performance into it in places since there were some sound issues on the original one. Brian said someone "found" the multi tracks that they thought they didn't have!!!

Kym is 52, as per google. Born Jan 23, 1967 The Elvis impersonator did praise Adam...very thoughtful....and unless Adam had been anything less than we know him to be...ie be a dip stick at the Italy event...the impersonator would not have even commented on Adam's personality, and about sharing in the birthday celebration. So good news when it does happen in a positive organic way. People can say what they want about Freddie/Marc/Adam. It will happen until the end of time, and it may rub some the wrong way...or expectations may differ re praise for Adam but ... - who was asked to sing at the Kennedy Center - who was just on the James Corden Show - who was on the UK X-Factor - who will be touring with Queen this summer - who is singing and doing voice over in a movie out this year - who has some sort of?? Recording deal and will telease original music - who has the bigger bank balance (mind you with reno's and two homes he may really need to be HITTING the road again ) I will stay in my Adam Lambert lane and support the man. I would love if others had my passion for him...if they do not...well I am not a fan of every sort out there...even those that Adam praises. That is not my cue to instantly like their music/ style of singing. Sorry forgot to say my analogy... the Elvis Impersonator...is not going on TV to do the Feb Elvis special. He praised Adam...take it when you can get it. It always helps me keep a healthy perspective to know that Queen and Adam Lambert have been going STRONG!!!

Somewhere in an interview Brian said that they had planned to use more of MM but they found or someone turned in soundtracks that no one knew about.

Thanks for the explanation about Julia an Kym. Now I got it! 😁 If Adam is on his way home, he will be there in the late afternoon or evening (today / Monday). Check the 04.19.14 or 04.20.14 threads if you want more detail about Julia's sweet 16 birthday party. 8-| Maybe Julia will have Adam back for her 21st birthday this April.

I don't think it is unreasonable to wish for a brief mention of the band and their new frontman, but I think it would only be appropriate during an interview, if the topic came up, and not during an awards speech. That could backfire badly. May be Rami doesn't want to take away from the "Freddie glory" - after all he has been consumed by the role of Freddie for quite a while. I personally am fine with how things are rolling. QAL are given a nice boost due to the success of BoRhap anyways
