From what I know Marc wasn't used hardly as much as some of his fans want to believe. Yes he recorded quite some, but they indeed found more Freddie they could use. Talon mentioned he could hear the difference between Marc and Freddie in the movie. Maybe he can explain some of it. These articles to almost 10 million followers don't help though. Even though Marc himself says 'some vocals'. twitter.com/mashable/status/1089218158530121729Mashable @mashable This is the man behind the voice of Freddie Mercury in 'Bohemian Rhapsody'

Somewhere in an interview Brian said that they had planned to use more of MM but they found or someone turned in soundtracks that no one knew about. Thanks marel! That is my recollection of what Brian said as well. blackqueen65 also shared her perspective and it aligns with our memory of Brian'sconversation. Putting the Rami interview in perspective: The interviewer said he is a personal friend of Marc Martel. It is then a natural saguay to praise Marc. Rami would not have brought up Marc otherwise. It is all about context when being interviewed. If Rami said nothing about Marc after the guy says he was a friend-- he would look like a bit of a dolt. If the interviewer had said he was a friend of Adam's ...I am sure Rami would have thrown an Adam comment into the interview--- maybe even about his cameo!

I was calm about this MM issue until the 9.8 million followers of "mashable" were given FAKE NEWS! Is it not important that viewers of BR know that the sound editors did an amazing job of using Freddie's voice in the majority of the show?
Anyone remember or can recover Brian's interview? Perhaps a twitter reply to that post would seem tacky...but the site/person is not informed. Oh well-- I should just go back to relax mode .

Check the 04.19.14 or 04.20.14 threads if you want more detail about Julia's sweet 16 birthday party. Thanks! I think, I read about that. I just had never heard about Kym‘s birthday, that’s why I simply thought, this must have been Julia. Kym looked young enough in that video. 😁 I'm sure you've already found this, but the threads for the Montana party are on 04.25.14 and 04.26.14 which I did not remember were only 5 days after the sweet sixteen party. That's a lot of 'Happy Birthday' singing for one month :D

Mashable @mashable This is the man behind the voice of Freddie Mercury in 'Bohemian Rhapsody' So, from what we know is true, it is quite a stretch to say that Marc is "the man behind the voice of Freddie Mercury." I know his fans would love it to be so, but Marc himself knows it is not so. Fans are always emotional and believe what they want to believe. It's human nature. When I said I wished Rami had mentioned Adam, even briefly, I guess I didn't mean in his acceptance speech for the award. I guess I meant more in general interviews. I would love to hear Rami say, in a casual interview, something like, "And yeah, Queen is really going strong as ever, touring the world with Adam Lambert, who I saw perform with them and who is a really great Queen front man for them." Greedy on my part? Of course. In the end it makes no difference. These guys will all go on with their careers and this too will become old news. Sometimes that Glambert blood in my veins just takes over!

Ok, I posted on last night's thread which is now kind of over, so I'll ask again here: Didn't the movie primarily use Freddie's own voice for most of the singing? And a LITTLE of Marc's voice for some of it? That's how I understood it, anyway. But Marc's fan are thinking that it was Marc's voice for the whole thing? I don't think so. I posted on the last thread that I thought the Marc/Adam/Rami thing is a matter of fan loyalty and quite a bit of not facing reality. Of the three artists, none of them could do the others' job. Each has his own role to play in the whole Freddie thing. Marc fans want Marc to tour with Queen. Ain't gonna happen. The thought is creepy and wrong. Adam could never play Freddie the film. No way. Rami's not a singer. Period. Fans really get twisted out of shape when they feel their favorite performer is not being respected. I know we Adam fans feel that way at times and we say so! I do feel, though, that a brief mention of Adam by Rami would have been nice. Rami has seen QAL perform. He knows Adam's talent. Adam has praised Rami quite generously. I think a mention in return would have been a classy thing to do. Rami seems like a nice guy, and this role is a huge stepping stone for him. Just wish Adam's major role as the actual front man for Queen could have been on Rami's radar for just a moment or two. That thought has crossed my mind as well. I don't think it is unreasonable to wish for a brief mention of the band and their new frontman, but I think it would only be appropriate during an interview and not during an awards speech. That could backfire badly. May be Rami doesn't want to take away from the "Freddie glory" - after all he has been consumed by the role of Freddie for quite a while. I simply see it as two different things: the movie has nothing to do with QAL. It’s their story from the past. Furthermore, Rami is an actor, speaking as such about his job, which was to portray Freddie. Like he played Mr. Robot and other roles before. He will do other ones. His role in Queen is temporary. Adam on the other hand has been a member of the Queen family for the last 6/7years. That’s why he gets asked about everything Queen in interviews, including the movie. Maybe I would care more, if Rami was a musician. I actually find it much more astounding in a negative way, that Queen‘s Social Media Pages barely ever mention Adam. Take a look at their Official Instagram or Facebook pages. It’s like Adam doesn’t exist. Even when they tour, there is just an occasional pic, where he happens to be in the picture with Brian and Roger. I came across one of the men, who run Queen Official and is also responsible for the forum. He’s a longtime fan and doesn’t like Adam fronting Queen. He has been a roady as well on QAL’s first tours in 2014/15, when he did his daily news posts from behind the scenes. Very interesting, but he managed to ignore Adam almost completely for the whole tour, while writing about the concerts ect. He did the podcasts as well, which you can find on their site. Podcasts with Brian, Roger (several), Rufus, Neil, Spike, Tyler, Marc Martel and more. No Adam. Members of the forum have asked and started a thread for an Adam podcast. No answer. And that’s how they run Queen‘s social media: they ignore Adam. Queen is Freddie, Brian, Roger and John. Nothing else. If Rami has been close to these people while filming, it’s no wonder, that QAL doesn’t really play a role in his view of Queen. Hint: There are also members of the Queen family, who really like Adam. Mainly those, who get to know him personally on tour. But as I wrote above: not everyone. I think, the fans on the whole are more appreciative. But the absolute diehards are inside the Queen machine. And I would wish, Brian and Roger would change that to some degree.

I'm kind of curious about how fans move around, or stay put, when artists make changes, leave groups, join new groups, etc. So am asking about the Queen Extravaganza fans and how they have respond to changes. Anyone know:
Did Marc Martel's fans from the Christian rock band he was in (I think I read they put out 10 albums) become a large part of his Queen Extravaganza fan base?
Are Marc's QE fans now following him in his solo work, or more or less remaining with QE despite changes in the line up? Doing both?
Is there a new fan base coming together for Alirio Netto, the new lead singer for Queen Extravaganza? Also, are his fans from being a popular singer in Brazil and from being in the Brazilian We Will Rock You following him over to QE? Do they become QE fans in general along with being AN fans?
Queen Extravaganza must be very well regarded and very successful financially to attract singers (MM and now AN) who were successful in their own endeavors prior to joining QE.
Thanks.
peace&love

QAL rolls on in all its glory, having greater and greater success with each tour! It is a thing of bueaty to see how the Rapsody Tour sold out everywhere! Some places within hours! People are ready to sit behind the stage, just to hear them!
