Just watched lady Gaga at Grammys. Weird performance agree. Did not enjoy that at all. Agree!! I just happened to turn on the tv and saw a performer somewhere in the performance. I wondered who was singing. I could barely understand the words, and I have not seen the movie nor have I heard the song Swallow Shallow. Then singer lifted her head...and I thought is that Gaga? I thought she was singing one of her songs, postering, bending in weird positions and putting her hand on a guys chest, then I heard "swallow". Honestly...I changed to my PVR shows. I would hazard a guess that the interpretation tonight was far removed from the context of how it was sung in the movie. Did she ruin the song? "Believe" was a reinterpretation that enhanced the lyrics. Glad I am on team Adam.

agree. Did not enjoy that at all. I think her performance was contrived and it didn't mesh with the actual song. My sentiments exactly!

All of Gaga's performances always seem contrived to me; that's why I've never been a fan. Plus her voice drives me nuts.

stampsgal yes! She butchered it. Imo Please give the song a chance even if you didn't like the performance. The guy she put her hands on (with the guitar) is Mark Ronson, who cowrote the song. Glad he got some exposure too. He's been on promotion with Miley for their song 'nothing breaks like a heart'.

I was just looking thru all the winners on a Billboard link and I've never heard of about 95% of these folks. lol I saw where Tori Kelly won a Grammy for best Gospel Album. I had no idea she was singing gospel music.
I liked Gaga back in the beginning...loved her Fame Monster album.....but I'm not much of a fan anymore.

I think the Grammy's have actually passed me by, There's not much I enjoy in the show anymore. I did however really enjoy Brandi Carlile's performance of The Joke. Her voice is fantastic and the song is great! Songs, melody and voice still matter to me even if they don't matter to the Grammy's.

I just saw Gaga in Vegas (the “Enigma” Show) and the entire first two-thirds of the show was very contrived and unemotional. It was weird costumes and dancing, annoying videos, overpowering lighting, LOUD backup music, phony banter and storyline with her enigma, etc. Really did NOT care for it.
Then she came out in a T-shirt, by herself, and sat down at the piano, and the show changed. It actually was a good show ... for the last third. She seems like she is trying SO hard to be a Vegas star, she’s forgotten how to just PERFORM.
It is the very last time I plunk down more than $100 for any show, except for Adam and Queen. Every single show I see, there is NO comparison ... none.

The tribute to Aretha Franklin was a mess, each of them trying to out sing the other. The Motown tribute was pretty good though!
