HA!! I guess Ross King is not the only one getting "snuggly" with Adam.
And it was nice that Adam said nice things about MM. Won't make one bit of difference tho. He has always said nice things about Freddie too. But those who want to be mad, about his position with Queen, will still be mad. And hardly anyone will care that they are upset. QAL will keep doing what they do best. Perform.

I may be totally, totally wrong, but I picked up the MM mention as subtle shade, classy as Adam usually is. It was mentioned in the context as someone imitating Freddie, and Adam making his usual statement that he doesn't want to imitate. That's just how it came across to me, YMMV.

As he was saying it he made the remark that Marc has an incredible voice and sounds just like Freddie. I didn't take that as shade at all!

I agree, cheriemelissa, he was complimentary towards Marc and explained to Marc's fans and the world why he was selected as front man rather than Marc or others.

For me it felt as if Adam was adressing this "Marc-Martel-should-be-singing-for-Queen"-stupidity in his usual well mannered and wonderful charming way. But in saying what he said he indeed threw a little shade at MM - intended or not, I don't know.
But this is just my own little opinion

Velvet love song to Queen's legacyPLAYING with Queen has done wonders for Adam Lambert's own career. Adam reckons the late Queen icon Freddie Mercury could have been a fan The US singer, who has toured as the group’s frontman for eight years, has realised what makes an amazing tune from performing their back catalogue and has channelled it into his upcoming album, Velvet. In an exclusive interview, he said: “It does give me a perspective of what a good song is and why it works. “I’ve learned a lot from singing those Queen songs for audiences. You go, ‘OK, this is a good chorus, this is a good hook, this is a good message’. I suppose that’s one of the things that inspired a lot of my new songs.” And Adam whose single New Eyes was released last month, reckons the late Queen icon Freddie Mercury could have been a fan. He said: “I would hope that he would like some of it. “I feel like one of my new songs, Super Power, is like a second cousin to Another One Bites The Dust, it has a little bit of the same DNA. “I didn’t set out to emulate any of Queen’s songs specifically, but I thought, ‘Wouldn’t it be nice to have an album of music that a Queen fan can wrap their ears around’.” www.thesun.co.uk/tvandshowbiz/9273305/ed-sheeran-cherry-seaborn-yesterday/

Evening Standard @eveningstandard "It’s about trying to educate people, that’s the biggest piece of combating ignorance" bit.ly/2KQjgPNAdam Lambert: Bus attack on gay women reveals regression in parts of society Lambert said educating is 'the biggest piece of combating ignorance' Musician and Queen frontman Adam Lambert has warned that the “pendulum has swung backwards” when it comes to violence against the LGBT community. The singer expressed his shock at the recent homophobic attack on two women on a London bus after they refused to kiss. Lambert who has received numerous awards for his LGBT advocacy and social activism, told A List: “We’ve made so much forward motion in terms of acceptance. “It’s about trying to educate people, that’s the biggest piece of combating ignorance. Just getting people comfortable and understanding each other. “It’s like this in the US too. The pendulum has swung backwards. There’s some regression among society. Certain forces giving a voice to bigotry. But I do think the silver lining is that these setbacks do motivate people to take a more active role.” Figures from the Met Police show the number of homophobic hate crimes in London rose 16 per cent in the 12 months to April this year. Referring to the bus attack on Melania Geymonat, 28, and her partner Chris, for which five people have been arrested and bailed, he said: “My heart goes out to those two women. It’s terrible. I was shocked.” Referring to the attackers, he said: “You wonder about their parenting. Are they reflecting the attitudes of the household they were brought up in?” Since finishing runner-up on American Idol in 2009, Lambert has sold millions of records as a solo artist, as well as joining Queen for the live tours in 2011. In between joining the band on their touring schedule, which will take them to the US next month, the star has just recorded his fourth solo album, Velvet. Adam Lambert’s new single New Eyes is out now. Gallery with 58 pictures of Adam through the years included:
