Javi said from the beginning that he wanted to pursue a career and be independent. It sounds like that is what he is doing. Also, he has family and other ties to Spain. It's logical that he would prefer to live there. He's a foreword-thinking guy. He's young. I think it's a testament to Adam that his relationships end on good terms. I think he and Javi cared for each other a great deal. I can't imagine Adam choosing to be with a lousy person. Javi is choosing his life on his own terms. I give him credit for that. Being the partner of a often-traveling singer isn't an ideal situation.
I'm guessing that Adam's recent illness may have been a combination of physical illness and, as he said, a kind of emotional/mental bad spell. So glad he's BACK, strong and beautiful again! Looking forward to Velvet Side B and the SOLO TOUR whenever it happens. Adam is one beautiful man, inside and out.
I also wonder what Adam was just doing in the studio??? He's always got something going on behind the scenes. Stream.

dominica lol you are not alone in that (Not meaning myself) I've thought about that too with the visa, you have a point. I was curious about the visa situation during the past weeks and looked a bit further into it. From what I found out, Adam could not have helped Javi. There is no way, Javi would have gotten a visa with a working permit. That’s fact. Javi could have either stayed as a tourist looking after Pharaoh, being Adam’s bf and leaving the country in between every few months for some time OR possibly as a student, if he went back to college for his master. Option number 1 doesn’t fit for a 22 year old, who needs to build his career. Option number 2 was apparently not Javi’s plan for the future. Not even marriage would have helped Javi. At least not for the next couple of years. It‘s sad, but if Javi wants to pursue a career, there was no other way, than to go back to Europe.

Well said nightowl, I was going to post the same thing. Visas are not easy anymore, if they ever were.

As Adam’s assistant Adam was his employer and he could extend his visa. Javi must knew for a while that his visa runs out soon and he could hire a good emigration lawyer. It’s not a reason for break up if everything else in the relationship is in a good place. Javi was in the US with a student‘s visa, it had nothing to do with Adam. His studies ended a year ago in October. Since he got a degree in International Business, he had the chance to extend that visa for one year. That’s possible, so tha5 the students can gain some work experience in the US. But after that year, they have to leave. Adam was never Javi’s employer, that was a Queen company. Still, they wouldn’t have been able to give Javi a visa. Not even the company that Javi had worked for for a couple of months in spring could have done that. If you care to read the US visa regulations, you will find, that only very few EXPERTS in their fields get work visas. You need special qualifications. That process is long, expensive and has to be done by a company, that needs to prove, that they cannot find an American, who could do that job. Javi doesn‘t fall into that group at all. No emigration lawyer can change that.

I still think that if Adam really wanted to be with him he could work things out. He could move to Spain

Well yes, ok also very good points from the "other side" about the visa.
My dad got a work vica twice for two and three years when i was Young and we as a whole family moved to Detroit.
Adam has ties in la and his carreer kind of needs him in la 😕
Not gonna lie, i was sceptical at first but it really felt like they had a genuine connection.

No emigration lawyer can change that. Well said. And Adam probably knew for some time that it was not going to work out. I doubt he just found out when Javi left. I never thought it would work (tho hoped it would) for a young ambitious person to give up a chance at a career to follow a boyfriend around. I'm sure they are both sad about the breakup but I doubt Adam's illness had anything to do with that. You would have to think he only recently found out there were problems. And who really believes that? He is a 37 year old man and very aware of his surroundings and relationship so I'm sure he was turned in. He is not some unaware teenager. I wish them both the best but I hope the next time Adam will keep his personal relationships more personal. The last thing he needs are fans claiming they know more than they do. Or fans trying to tell him what to do and where to live or how he can keep someone in the country. We went thru this before. We can't decide these things for Adam. His life and his career.
