For me, Adam is at his creative best as a solo artist, and after having seen him at the El Rey on the most magical of nights, I choose that concert as my top Adam moment. He was electric, the set list was perfection, and they were his songs.

The Ireland first concert was in Belfast.
I have always smiled, Queen and Adam didn't know where they were, except in Ireland.

(One is a member of the EU and the other belongs to the UK and is part of the Brexit...another new border is coming 🙄.)

Adam’s top moment of the decade? Hard to tell. For me it’s mainly a QAL decade and their top moment was probably their appearance at the Oscars this year. That was huge! Another top moment was in my opinion the New Year‘s Eve concert Adam dis with Queen on BBC 2014. It made the Brits seem out Adam and many fell in love with him that night. A whole country was able to watch them, millions did and 5hat was a big deal! 😁

I feel there should be 2 top moments of the decade> one for top Adam Lambert solo, and one for Queen + Adam Lambert , because he clearly devoted himself to both acts. So, I'm going to vote for EMAs for QAL moment, since that's what started it all, and for Adam solo moment I vote for Trespassing debuting at number 1.

I like the 2 separate votes idea. I know I already commented but I'm going say Trespassing debuts at #1 as my Adam moment. And Queen I'm torn between Isle of Wight and the Oscars. I guess I'm officially going with the Oscars Might have a different feeling tomorrow but I'll leave it at that. There are so many things you could make a case for!🤩

www.youtube.com/watch?v=c3H223Lh7EcI think cassie said it best back then: adamtopia.com/thread/549/ema-queen-takeover-special-guest7 Nov 2011 at 12:30am cassie said: I am so pumped up by Adam's performance tonight that I can't go to sleep. So, here is my review. "But it's been no bed of roses. No pleasure cruise. I consider it a challenge before the whole human race, and I ain't gonna lose! We are the champions." Adam Lambert burst onto the national stage in the 2009 season of Idol. An example of how talent can be discovered, molded, and created by the program, and then, go on to a successful recording career. ...... NOT! Adam's whole life, since the age of ten, has been focused on being a performer and artist. He studied his craft for years, he pounded the pavement, he knocked on hundreds of doors which were mostly slammed in his face. He was undaunted. He continued to build his voice, build his performance skills, build his knowledge of music of all kinds. He had the talent, he had the training, he had the experience, he had the vision, he had the determination and perseverence. At the ETV awards show on November 6th, Adam dug down deep and called on everything in his impressive arsenal and gave us a quintessential performance. This is not an emerging artist. This is not an effemeral pop singer here today and gone tomorrow. What we witnessed, what we heard, what we saw, was Adam claiming his place as a world class performer with confidence, skill and power. The vocals were amaaaazing. He used all his technique, all his knowledge of his body, and produced a sound that was strongly influenced by his classical training and background. It was much more than singing the right pitches, hitting the right notes. The sound evoked the power and finesse of an opera tenor, while modifying it to fit the classic rock numbers. His articulation was crystal clear. His attack, his subtle bending of notes and phrases gave the performance the emotions inherent in the songs. He claimed the stage with his posture, his presence, his prowling. At the same time, his performance was in service to the tribute to Queen, never elevating himself above the song or the members of the band. He started his ethereal vocals in shadow, as if saying, "Who I am is not important. What I am singing, what we are creating, what we are paying homage to is key." He threw the focus repeatedly to Brian May, encouraging him, acknowledging him, egging him on, enticing him onto the catwalk with him, leading him out front to his fans. He at once threw himself into the performance with total abandon and fearlessness, subsuming who he was into the greater total of what was being created. Yet, by doing that, and by doing it so masterfully, he was also being quintessentially himself. I do believe that only Adam Lambert could have accomplished that performance that night. Adam has arrived. Adam has claimed his power and his place. It is magnificent to see and hear.

EMA's/Trespassing #1
I treated myself to an entire viewing of TSMGO/Adam Lambert Story on my tv from YouTube last night. I have lost count of the number of times I have watched it now, lol. But it was great to see the version that also included the Japan segment. That was an unexpected extra. I guess I'm still a bit puzzled as to why Lyndsay Parker said that Adam got the first number 1 album for an openly gay artist because of Freddie and the doors he opened for Adam. Adam got that before he joined Queen and it seems to me that the credit for that goes to Adam. Adam was out at the beginning of his career which was something Freddie was unable to do. TBH, I was not thinking about Freddie until Adam started fronting Queen. But in any event, Trespassing going #1 and Adam joining Queen at the EMA's, in Freddie's spot, were the two biggest Adam events for me.
