It would be a waste of time to play Velvet in a loop because utube would not count it.. That's why I listed all the different links to articles that have the Velvet video embedded in the article on pg 1.. those will be counted by utube if you play the video from the different articles. I also listed all the videos from the Velvet album individually so they will be on one page, which makes it easier to save in a separate tab on your browser for easy access, and whenever you think about it, you can go and click on a each video individually. pi , you are making it very easy for us to support Adam. The front page holds a lot of valuable info and even clicking on a few videos per day and may be sharing them helps. I tend to remember better when I keep the video tab open throughout the day. Running Spotify playlists is easy, yet I agree that Adam needs to get on some major playlists. We can only do our best, whatever that means to each of us, to support Adam. It's satisfying to know that now when we watch one of his Velvet videos, we are adding to the album count.. twitter.com/ModestyChild/status/1244397483683270656

IMO Adam is healthy. Adam is talented. Adam is loved. Adam is financially secure. Velvet is Adam’s best album. Velvet is not Adam’s last album . Let’s survive first, then we can worry about an album Performance ... May I just say -- DITTO to this. I would like to add one more. Velvet will always be there. It is the amazing thing about recorded music in the digital era -- it is permanent.

Here is the thing, Cassie: hard to be be golden if we are being literally killed by the criminal negligence...that includes Adam...not to mention the start of “this plague is brought upon us by gays” bs by some “leaders” on the far right... I understand. I am battling with depression and fear and worry, too. There are many places online to express our feelings and opinions and outrage and political opinions. Just, please, not here, too. I am not telling anyone to shut up. I am saying please keep this forum as a safe place to escape for a time. Thank you Cassie. It is really important that ATOP remain a safe place and an escape. We all need that now more than ever. It is also important that we keep perspective -- politics can matter again in the future -- but for now, there are more important things to focus on. I'm a bit out of hot zones in Southern Arizona and can afford to wait this out. But many of my students are really struggling. They are mostly Seniors who were planning graduation and in the final rounds of interviewing for jobs when everything stopped with 7 weeks to go. They are not getting to do any of the important graduation rituals, they are worried about how they will get a job and pay the rent and buy groceries They are being forced to take online classes when they did not want to. One of my students lives in a place with no WiFi access and has to use his phone for everything. And over a dozen are being treated for depression and reported that to the University. I honestly can't image what they are going through, but I am trying to help where I can. Just a suggestion -- if you know any of these students who were send home from college, check in with them a lot. See if you can help. Good bet that some/maybe most of them need some support.

My daughter held an online yoga class today which was wonderful to be part of while sheltering at home. We all need to take care of ourselves right now in the best possible way, and that includes being the fan we want to be.

While I probably over-spoke about Adam's time spent with Queen as opposed to his solo work, I do think it has made an impact. I know he changed labels, etc. and made a lot of business decisions. But sometimes I think about what his solo focus would have been in if he had never with Queen at all. Quite different, for sure. I know he has had lots of opportunities to work on his own music while being with Queen, but it has occupied a lot of time, too. I guess the upshot is obvious. QAL has been him known world-wide and has given him lots of positive status and cred. And many Queen fans have become Adam fans. I just wish his own excellent music would get some radio play. It's ridiculous that the number of streams of a song ultimately decides if a song gets on a playlist. I just don't get it. I think I get what you mean. Queen likely occupied way more of Adam's creative space than the actual stretches of time per year when he toured with them. There's the getting ready part, the traveling and getting over jet lag, and then once back home likely a major phase of decompressing and re-grouping. I don't think that anybody wants to complain as Queen has afforded Adam great things, yet it has been a major side by side project and a very different "zone" to snap in and out of.

sizzling, thanks! Yes, you do get what I mean. Sure there are spans of time between QAL tours, but the band has been doing major tours almost yearly since they teamed up. Of course Adam has had to think about his next solo projects along the way, but he always had to keep in mind that a big Queen tour was going to occupy a chunk of time during the year. A gift, to be sure, but also an interruption, so matter how valuable, in the flow of his solo work. He's very lucky in many ways. They'll be a time when his solo work will be his main focus again. QAL won't last forever. I don't expect Adam's music to be #1 every single time, but I sure wish he could break through to the major playlists and get at least some radio play.

I know, this is not a popular thought, but my feeling is, that Adam would be back to singing in musicals, if it wasn’t for his work with Queen. Adam wasn’t able to do a real tour with Trespassing. He lost track at the time in most parts of the world and even big parts of the US. In my opinion, his career as a solo artist wouldn’t have lasted much longer.

Someone posted a while back that they remember when he did iheart in 2013 solo it wasn't well attended and he told the audience he didn't know what the future held. Had performed some with Queen but it was before they started touring. I love both sides of his career think he is handling beautifully. If you had said 11 years ago this is where we would be today I think we would all take it. Aside from the virus of course. All in all I think he's having a spectacular career! Will be on board for the long haul. Can't wait to see him solo whenever that might be. Hopefully Vegas in October lol 💜
