IMHO,Adam left much ,for the freedom of not having constant competition.. I hope he doesn't now begin to feel the need to keep up with some entertainers who are giving free on line mini concerts...There is enough pressure just surviving during this virus ,etc.. I'm thinking Adam feels secure in his relationship with fans and potential fans to be himself in all matters.I mean he must,be secure, he came out with a great album during this crisis.. I'm streaming like mad to show my love and appreciation .To add,I can love Adam to death ,while also appreciating other artists. I agree with everything you said. These are tough times but I will remain an Adam fan thru it all. Not going to take my anger and frustration out on him. The virus. The government missteps. The crazy miracle snake oil cures. The ridiculous campaign rallies of tv daily. And the nutjobs out there protesting the Governors for trying to keep people alive. There is enough anger to go around but Adam keeping me entertained is not on my list of complaints. He has been giving us content and articles and call in interviews so he is not missing in action. He is just not meeting the needs of every fan. And for artists giving these Facebook concerts, well good for them. I'm still not interested. And I won't be interested in them when this is all over. I love Adam but I'm not always excited about what he is doing either. I totally ignore the make-up demonstrations that others get a kick out of, lol. When I miss him, I go and play one of his many concert and performance videos from Youtube on my tv. Brings a smile to my face and improves my mood everytime. I'm not a fan of the videos from this era but I give them hits many times a day and I stream 24/7. Adore Velvet the album and I'm glad he got it out. But there is only so much he can do for promotion. Things will not be normal for some time. Don't know how much this will hurt Adam. But if he is going to be hurt, it will not be because his fans deserted him because of a lack of on-line concerts, imo. I just hope he comes out on the better end of all of this and I hope the same for his fans. Wishing the best for everyone actually. All of us, including Adam, are in the middle of a nightmare with no end in sight.

There are so many artists now doing various small "concerts" for their fans using Facebook or ....not sure which apps are most popular....to keep in touch with their fans and even grow their fanbase that it is really fun. I have been watching Melissa Etheridge fairly regularly and I have never been one to think much of her one way or another....she creates a little 'show' with just her partner using her iphone....and they are lovely. Even Brian and Roger post lots of little musical gems. I am truly surprised that Adam is not doing more. He said he was going to but never got past a short home 'show' and a make up tutorial of sorts. I am a bit sad about that as I think he is missing a golden opportunity. I am sure that there will surface an app or service that easily allows musicians to monetize their time on line, and that will be great.....but those that did not bother to communicate with fans for the love of the game, will be less likely to be win over new fans when money becomes the assumed motivation. I do not think that is behind Adam's absence but if he ignores his fans for too long, it will look that way. Meanwhile, I am not complaining as I am finding great new talents out there all the time. I think it is amazing and I suspect entertainment will be changed considerably...just as many other ways of doing business will change. Those that wait for life to return to normal, may find themselves sitting in the dust. And that is my concern for Adam. I love him and will go back to putting him first, I am sure....but there will be many who forget him ..... a few online interviews...or interview rehashes...is just no substitute. JMHOI feel similarly to you. While I understand that Adam may need time to process and adjust to this new situation, I am surprised that he has been relatively quiet. After all, he has a new album out, and this weekend would have been the start of his Vegas residency. May be there is more going on behind the scened than we can imagine, or may be he just needs to chill and "hibernate" a bit. As we are only at the beginning stages of this pandemic, I still have hope that he will reach out a bit more as time progresses. Tough times for sure.

Perfectly said, lurleene. Adam is doing things his own way, whatever the reasons. He'll be ok. I don't think that not doing an at-home mini YouTube concert will make or break him. His fans are loyal. We're not going anywhere. If I picked any other artist that I do not follow anyway, the fact that they did or did not do an at-home performance during the pandemic would not make one bit of difference to me. I wouldn't become a fan nor would I stop being a fan of that person. I do realize that doing a little home show can keep an artist in the public eye. I just don't know if it gets you more fans.
