LOVE Part 3 of Kelly and Adam! They are so cute together. They could do a co-host show together, don't you think? They have the same sense of humor and they are both smart and witty. Good friends. I hope lots of people watched these two have their very therapeutic chat.
lurleene, thanks for reminding me about Bill O'Reilly and also the "Christian" Idol voters, etc. It seems so strange now that those things actually happened. There was SUCH a buzz after Adam's Idol season. Even if you didn't watch Idol, you knew who he was. The media was all over him. He was gorgeous, smart, funny, a really good interview. I haven't seen that same level of buzz since Adam. And he has managed to stay in the media's eye. He has made that leap from "singer" to "celebrity" pretty darn well. A few other Idols have done the same in their own way with acting, etc., but they are few and far between. Adam was asked early one what he hoped for most in his career. He said "longevity." I hope and pray that he attains it. And do it his own way.

I hope and pray that he attains it. And do it his own way. Yep there was so much buzz for Adam when he was competing and not just after the show. His talent and charisma stood large. Everyone was talking about him while he was competing and no one stopped him from being himself, no matter what they said. The people who were afraid of him or deemed him unsafe and unworthy because he was gay were bigots and/or fools, imo. It was not as if he was going to jump off the stage and try to have sex with them, lol. So what was unsafe about him? In the end, he did not need their votes to succeed and accomplish all that he has. But tho Samantha's win was great, and she and Adam were both out before Idol, they did not feel the need to go on the show and announce their sexuality. To decide someone is not out unless they announced it on Idol is beyond comprehension to me. If either had a spouse or long time love (who helped them along the way and wasn't just a temporary love interest in their lives), it would make sense to acknowledge them on the show. Otherwise they chose to compete like everyone else. But unlike Adam, no one was talking about Samantha's sexuality but she was still out. And they have different personalities and styles and that is fine. As for longevity, Adam has it and did it on his terms. And he is certainly one of the most successful Idols and successful in general. And still going strong and keeping the press interested after 11 years. HA!
