Whether it be the violent/radical left, or the violent/radical right or those coming into loot and carrying out arms full of clothes, shoes, electronics, etc./thieves.....they need to somehow be weeded out and dealt with. Like you said, the basic injustices aren't being addressed with all the focus and coverage being on the violence and destruction. I was surprised to read in my local newspaper that Cullman, my smallish city, had a peaceful protest yesterday afternoon in a small park in town. About 25 - 30 protesters and the City Police chief was there and because of the small size of the group, he was able to talk with them all in a friendly positive way and the protesters did their thing with their signs and all was well. Our little town didn't have any protests at all, but the neighboring larger city did, and it was totally peaceful, like yours. The Police chief and some of the police force was taking a knee with the protesters. As far as I know, there was no problem at all. And I agree, the looting and violence is taking away from the intent of the peaceful protest...whichever side it's coming from.

We may be seeing something changing. My hometown of Portland has certainly seen violent protests. Friday was the worst with much damage and looting. However, Sunday brought out many thousands, and they were mostly peaceful. The police were asked to "take a knee" and they did ! A listening party has been started. This is hopeful.

For the first time in my entire 60 years, I feel so sad and so stressed about the state of our country, I haven't even been able to listen to music. And music has always been my solace, my go-to when things are wrong. I'm not a person that cries easily, so music has always been a way for me to express my emotions. But not right now. And that makes me even sadder. Play Velvet from beginning to end. The whole album. It's helping me. Definitely stressful.

svca To add I've been sitting here by myself for 8-9 weeks since I lost my job. I'm ok money wise but this certainly isn't the way I wanted to go. The first 6-7 weeks weren't too bad but now it's really starting to get to me. I think it's because just as things were starting to loosen up a little around here all this other stuff happens. I do think we will get there in the meantime I'm heartbroken over what's happening Nation wide and I'm frankly heartbroken for Adam. He's obviously hurting and cares so deeply which is one of the reasons I'm so passionate about him. Sorry if I'm ranting a little but this and a couple of groups I'm in are my main source if sanity right now.

I think the majority of the protesters are peaceful and there for the right reasons. But later in the evening you have people show up for the destruction and are hijacking the reason for the protests. And of course the media will focus on that more. Yes they need to cover it but even this morning they were re-showing the chaos that happened the first night. At first I thought it had turned to the worst again. I think the cities are trying to restore order without turning it into a bloodbath. But sadly our leader is hiding out in his bunker and calling the governors and mayors weak because they are not tough enough on the protesters in his opinion. How much carnage does he want? Who is the weak one trying to point the fingers at others cause he can't lead? And I agree with everything Adam said. He is spot on. He is hurt about it all. But it was painful to see some fans (maybe they weren't fans) accusing him of supporting the violence and saying they disagreed with him. But it was obvious that Adam was against what happened to Mr. Floyd and other injustices at the hands of police. If someone thinks that what happened was okay or should be overlooked, and you are upset because Adam took a stand, then say that. But don't pretend you disagree with him and take offense because of the looting and violence cause ya know that was not what he was condoning or supporting. Some of what was said to him on social media was insulting. And I don't blame him for feeling some had disappointed him to the point that he no longer wanted their support.
