I feel like Adam will be fine also. He's fired up for sure but he has common sense. My sister went to a protest in NYC today. Might still be going on but she went from Union Square to Central Park. She said it was very peaceful.
Seem to have a difficult time relaxing these days. Currently playing Velvet from start to finish which always helps. Spectacular album!

I've been playing Velvet in my car the last few days and I've found that my favorite 4 songs are 4 in a row....stranger you are, Loverboy, Roses and Closer to You. I like all the songs, but I find myself fast forwarding back to those 4 over and over.

Too bad he can't keep it going. Would love to see it. I think I change my mind on my favorite songs on Velvet every time I play it. Right now I'm going with Velvet, Superpower, Overglow, and Roses!

Throwback to this past Friday.....I watched last week's Rackel Maddow shows on demand as promised to theosgma and posted some of my takeaways on Friday's thread. Didn't want today's news thread to be political or non-glittery....lol. bamafan, I also watched Rachel Maddow on Friday. I have watched Rachael along with CNN off and on for the past few years to get the other side of the story. I read your takeaway on Friday's thread and I believe it was an accurate picture of her show. If any of the more left leaning among you would like to hear the other side of the story. Mark Levin, Fox News interviewed two black men, Shelby Steele and Bob Woodson, on his Sunday show today. Both of these men have been through civil rights movements since the fifties and I think the infomation they shared may surprise you. Also, on Monday Shaun Hannity will be inertiewing Alice Marie Johnson. Let's see if we can try to understand where the other person is coming from....that's a start. Q3 comment: Please park the political conversation. There is nothing about Adam in these posts. Thanks!

He did express in an IG, an repeat invite for the Mayor of LA, to attend a BLMatter TownHall ---and would the mayor be present, implying he would be there. All I could think of last night...I want him and all others to be safe!! And, he might be best to take a cab, Uber or rent a car chauffeur and not risk his new sports car. My brothers friend was RCMP and for years, drove dignitaries. In retirement he had a limo service for people/ buiness execurives/politicians who wanted more than just a driver. I hired him to drive my elderly neighbours to Banff( resort town) 1.5 hr away for an overnight stay to celebrate her 100 birthday (now 103). They wanted me to drive them. It was a relief to not have the pressure of their safety, and driving there, drop off and do a return pick up the next day. Same for Adam....if he feels confident...he is going to attend. I too hope he and the others stay safe. Well I hope your centenarian friend stayed at the Banff Springs Hotel. I love that hotel!! Adam is smart and he knows how to get out in public incognito. I'm sure he will be careful to be safe. That is exactly where she and her husband stayed. They had not been for many years and thought so highly of their past experiences, they thought it would be a grand hurrah! They were contemplating driving themselves the 110 km. He is a younger man (at that time 93). My husband and I choked at that thought! I said I would drive them...then I thought they do not need an elder sitter, on this special occasion. Anyway it was less expensive for us to pay for the chauffeur to drive back and forth than for me to drive and stay overnight. Well, things change-- they were shocked---the dining service is open now for more casual diners (no dress need to dress up for dinner, which of course they did.) They were surprised there were no white table linens etc, and the food was not as good as they had hoped. The waiter's wine suggestion was more than their meal! And their lunch was as expensive as their dinner. Well you only live once!! and they have both lived full lives! On a good note, they had a huge suite with a living room. The management let them stay late, and organized special greetings from the staff upon arrival, in the room and upon leaving! No immediate breakfast/coffee service in the am (very busy)...which put them off a bit--haha. Taking this back to Adam territory. The chauffeur is a retired RCMP officer, who could protect them, knows CPR, and was a trained driver. Plus I knew him. I came to the site to check on Adam's daily adventures today and wrote this note before checking on him. I am hoping he is home safe and sound and he got someone else to drive him through whatever LA was dealing with today.
