I resisted the temptation to watch the recorded Corden performance earlier last night and decided to stay up until Adam was on TV here on the West Coast. I just wanted to feel the anticipation phase again as I really miss that part of being on this journey. It sure was a loooong wait and I found it a bit hard to sit through a whole lot of talking until finally(!) at the very end it was time for Adam. I was happy that he got a chance to chat a little and show his personality, share his perspective on the protests, and talk about his FS Foundation and "Velvet" of course. Adam is so articulate and passionate, both with regards to BLM and equality issues as well as his work. After another looong set of commercials the performance was finally here. Yay! It struck me immediately how much of an atmospheric vibe he had created visually, and I think he did a great job at matching it musically and vocally. However, I wish I could say that I loved it. I am just not feeling the song as much and the live performance did not change that this time. Thankfully, I seem to be in the clear minority with my reaction as the responses here as well on twitter are overwhelmingly positive. In all fairness, I think that On The Moon was an appropriate song choice given the current circumstances and the late night spot.
I still very much love Velvet and I see it as a cohesive work of art, even though it doesn't make me want to dance around the house in glitter and platform boots LOL. I will keep that energy for future concerts. My favorite songs haven't changed in a while - Roses, NE, SP, and Loverboy are my favorite.

OT: This is sad and unexpected news and Brandon is not just Kelly's husband but her Manager. Here is hoping her fans will support her and not spend time trying to prove how devastated she is and that she is unable to function. If that is the case, she will likely let them know how she feels at some point. But marriages don't always last. But it doesn't mean that anyone is falling apart even when there is sadness of disappointment that it failed to work. And those outside looking in don't always know what is going on behind closed doors, fans or not. Hope she is okay and can take the time to put things together without too much intrusion in her personal life. Kelly Clarkson Files for Divorce From Brandon BlackstockKelly Clarkson wants to put an end to her marriage. E! News can confirm The Voice coach has filed for divorce from husband Brandon Blackstock after almost seven years of marriage. www.eonline.com/news/1160356/kelly-clarkson-files-for-divorce-from-brandon-blackstockWhy would they do that? Kelly strikes me as a very strong, outspoken woman. She doesn't strike me as a "victim" at all. That said, it's always tough when there are kids involved.

Haha, that would be me. No way, no how will I be going to any concerts, etc for quite a while. The virus is alive and well, thank you very much.

I sure hope Vegas is going to happen this year. I've turned in my single ticket and was looking to get two tickets together for the Wednesday date. Today I found two together, 6th row, dead center, for the general admission price. There are lots of tickets available for all dates, so maybe fans and/or brokers are turning them back in. Hotels are practically giving free rooms away. I am hopeful to see the show as it may be a while before we see Adam in concert. I have very mixed feelings about Vegas but I am keeping it open in the back of my mind. I did get my tickets refunded as I had one odd Friday in the mix with the re-scheduled dates, but in hindsight I should have just kept the two nights that would have worked out well. I will wait a bit and see...

On the moon has a real after hours vibe. Maybe not bombasticlly as memorable as closer to you or stranger you are, or superpower. But I'm really into vibey, bluesy sound from Adam. Yeah, that was pretty amazing...and I don't even really care for the song. But the arrangement and Adam's voice was mesmerizing.

LOL! I noticed that last night when Adam was talking to James Corden. I told my son that Adam was wrong and that the auction make almost 50K! Adam and numbers LOL! Numbers and geography...not always his strong suit. Good thing he's pretty

Adam did such an amazing job on the James Coedon show! He looked beyond beautiful, is always so eloquent and has such a wonderful banter and rapour with the host. He is truly amazing. I'm glad they were able to give him that much time, as he was able to discuss all sorest of important things and discuss his foundation and the march and his album and his hair!! Ha!! 😂😂 I never thought that that song was one of my favorites, but guess what, it is! His voice had so many nuances and colors and his tones were pitch perfect!! OMG! Sometimes I listen just to see how perfect his pitches are, and guess what, they are always perfect!! I wish the accompanying guitar had been a little louder but since it was just something from home, it was lovely! I'm so proud of our boy! He truly is exceptional!!

I like After Hours too, and generally I like Adam's vibey and bluesy side as much as his funky side. I'll revisit On The Moon again
