I think we can rationalize as much as we want, but it truly is sad to not be able to properly celebrate and enjoy the "Velvet" chapter. I can only imagine how excited Adam must have been about bringing HIS music to the concert stage, only to have to let it all go. It deserved so much better. But we'll get through this and hopefully we'll "party" even bigger when the time is right. Trying to be relatively optimistic here, but I'm wondering if Adam is looking at the rest of this year as an opportunity to record another album, and part of next year is blocked off to promote it - with a possible tour for both Era 5 and "Velvet" in 2022 with the hope that the world will have returned to something resembling normal by then. I think it's safe to say we can kiss any television promo he lost with "Velvet" goodbye forever, because that project is now old news in entertainment world terms and what promo opportunities there are will go to artists with more recent releases. I'm guessing Adam will want to get new music out sooner rather than later, and while he's been super busy during Pride month, that will undoubtedly slow down once June is over. He's said he's working on new music. Who knows, it just might happen! I like the way you think!

Somewhere else he also said that he has been able to stay pretty focused. I haven't given new music much thought yet as I am very much enjoying "Velvet" still, but you are right, it makes total sense for him to use the downtime after Pride to work on new material and hopefully present himself again during more favorable times. Fingers crossed. I want to believe it!!

In one of these interviews lately with Roger he was asked if QAL would consider a drive in concert. He said no plain and simple. Doesn't seem like Adam's style either. I loved the 4 song set he did for the Grammy museum. Maybe he'll do some more TV gigs. And maybe some shows will start filming with small audiences in the fall. I see they announced they will allow fans at the Kentucky Derby. Will be interesting see how that goes. How the heck would you do a humongous production like Queen in a drive-in concept? That boggles the mind, quite frankly. Also, haven't most of the drive-ins disappeared in the US? Garth Brooks is doing one showing at 300 drive ins. Concert is done elsewhere and shown live on the drive in screen. You tune to a certain radio station to hear it. Concessions and bathrooms are open etc! There are 3 in my area. I'm in Michigan about 20 miles north of Detroit. They've been open for a few weeks. Showing old movies right now. Jurrasic Park and Jaws most recently. Haven't been myself. Used to go when I was young Not sure what the normal cost is but Garth Brooks is $100 per car. Whatever number of seat belts you have is the number of people you can have in the car. Didn't think I would go on for this long lol! That's the extent of my knowledge on the matter!

Too bad, that Adam now has to cancel all his concerts for this year. But it was foreseeable. Now I hope, that 2021 will be better... Do you have „Drive-In“ concerts, where you live? Here in Germany are more and more artists, who do concerts in places that are usually used as Drive-In Cinemas. It’s new and the artists have to get used to the fact, that people aren’t close. And instead of clapping, people honk. 😁 But in the end, fans can enjoy the music in their cars and, see the artist and the artists can make money. If you cannot imagine, what this looks like, here is a report from a German morning show about one of the first concerts. youtu.be/6jIgUj6JIpkGermany is coming up with lots of innovative ways to have concerts. I don't think we have any Drive-In Cinemas in Vancouver but I'll look into it.

These are truly some strange times. John Legend (bamafan will appreciate, lol) new album sold 26,000 with 12,000 in pure albums sales. He has won an Oscar, Emmy and 15 Grammy's and is a judge on The Voice. He gets radio play and is with a major label Columbia. People's "Sexiest Man Alive." He is everywhere. And even with those rather low sales, who really wants to count him out for a few Grammy nominations and even a win? HA. So our Adam did not do so bad with Velvet. Small indie label, little radio and not on tv week after week and all of his promotion cancelled.

Sadly trying to cancel my flight and hotel reservations for Vegas. My region shut down pretty much and we are back to reopening. It's very sad that other regions did not. I watch instas from my european friends with reopenings.
